Crocheted candle holders create nostalgic charm both indoors and outdoors. The crochet pattern is written so that it can be easily adapted to different types of yarn and different sizes depending on the container used (e.g., large pickle jar, mason jar, candle glass).

   Here’s the pattern

Anyone who would like to take the DIY idea and zero waste even further can even learn to pour their own candles with this pattern. Homemade candles are not only sustainable, but can also be decoratively wrapped with the additional crochet pattern. That makes them perfect as a Christmas gift.

Here’s the pattern

The same pattern can be found in the useful key lanyards, which can be crocheted quickly from leftover yarn. You can choose the colors entirely according to your wishes, and the length can also be adjusted individually.

   Here’s the pattern

For detailed information about the materials and techniques used, take a look at the respective patterns. I’m also available anytime if you have questions.

Have fun crocheting!

The “Tea for 2” placemats are just the thing for a cozy tea time for two! Crochet two of them right away! It’s really easy.
The placemats are crocheted using a charted pattern in filet crochet (= only chain stitches and double crochets). The technique is described in detail in the pattern. For those who don’t like working from a charted pattern, the pattern also guides you through the project row by row.

A baby blanket with a heart made from soft merino wool has a wonderful function. It keeps the baby cozy and warm and is also pretty décor, for example in the stroller.

Here’s the knitting pattern

The sweet little gnomes are decorations that spread good cheer while also serving many functions. There are no limits to your imagination here. They can be used as egg cozies at breakfast or filled with small gifts, for example as an Advent calendar. For the grandkids, they’re always a fun toy.

Ideal for leftover yarn and super easy to crochet.

Of course, the gnomes also have a gnome house. Under the fun roof there’s a storage basket that’s wonderfully suited for leftover yarn, buttons, and crochet hooks. Because the front door is also a pocket. In the Advent calendar, it’s the gift wrapping for December 24.

Easy to crochet.

The little pouch for pocket tissues, which fits in any bag, is a lovely gift or small present that’s sure to be appreciated. It’s best to crochet several right away, because they’ll be gone before you know it.

Easy to crochet—several versions are shown.

The play kitchen food
is just the thing to delight toddlers. After all, the dolls and stuffed animals want something on their plates too. It looks absolutely delicious. Easy to crochet, and giving it as a gift is so much fun.

The little shopping bag for toddlers—with lemons and carrots
—is an important accessory in the pretend grocery store. With it, the little ones can even help with the shopping and carry a few fruits home themselves.

Easy to crochet with a big joy effect!

The spring meadow brings good cheer
to the breakfast table. It consists of placemats, coasters, and various egg cozies. With this, you can bring spring into your home even in winter.
Everything is easy to crochet—possible with leftover yarn and yarn scraps.

A flower pot cover with butterflies also gives a hint of spring. Very easy to crochet—even with leftover yarn.

This pillow cover has a reversible pattern and can decorate your sofa however you like. It’s easy to knit, because everything is well explained.

The bag for the Puky, balance bike, or tricycle
looks decorative and serves a big purpose for the little ones. They love taking something along on their little journey. The bag simply slips over the handlebars.

Good crochet experience is recommended. As a Christmas gift, you’re sure to score points with your child or grandchild.

A little bear as a door guard
—that’s the perfect gift for kids big and small. Because sometimes they just want some peace and quiet from the grown-ups, too. This lets them show it unmistakably.

Easy to crochet and a hit on any child’s bedroom door (or even on the restroom or bathroom).

The door-guard owl is also very popular
. It’s just as easy to crochet.

Here’s the crochet pattern

Of course, a cover for the tissue box is a must too.
At our house, it’s even a pretty decoration on the dining table and we can’t imagine being without it. After all, a tissue is always needed quickly—and here it’s ready right away.

Easy to crochet and very popular. Any color combination is possible.

No kitchen should be without pot holders.
These ladybugs are extremely decorative and truly eye-catching. Also a great tip for gifting.

These scrap eaters are simply ideal for colorful leftovers of any kind.
They’re very easy to crochet and have many functions. For example, they can be filled with small gifts and given to guests at children’s birthday parties. They bring good cheer to a desk, where they can serve as pencil holders. They also look great filled with crochet hooks. I’ve already used them to present little gifts and made people very happy.

Super easy to make, and there are no limits to your imagination. A great project you can also create together with children.

The poinsettia also looks much more decorative in this pot cover.
Add a few scatter stars and you have a perfect gift that brings joy. The scatter stars are included here.

The melting snowman looks really funny on the edge of the bathtub or washbasin, and it’s also a very practical washcloth. Of course, you can also use it in the kitchen for washing dishes.

Made with scrubby yarn and a 4.5 mm crochet hook, the melting snowman is quick to crochet.
The pattern is also well suited for beginners with a little crochet practice. It includes written instructions, the crochet chart, and lots of photos for finishing.

You can find the funny melting snowman here

The poinsettia instantly creates a festive atmosphere in your bathroom or kitchen, has a diameter of about 18 cm, and can be used as a large wash pad, a small washcloth, or a small dishcloth.

The poinsettia is crocheted in rounds using chain stitches, single crochet, slip stitches, double crochet, and treble crochet. It is also crocheted around a chain.
Difficulty level: easy to medium
The poinsettia isn’t suitable for absolute crochet beginners, but ambitious beginners with some experience and the skills mentioned above will certainly be able to crochet it successfully.
In addition to the written crochet pattern, the pattern also includes a crochet chart and many photos for finishing.

The snowflakes, available in three designs, are quick and easy to crochet using glittery sponge yarn and can be used for Advent wreaths, door wreaths, window decorations, mobiles, floral arrangements, as Christmas tree ornaments, or as gift tags.
The beautiful sparkle of the yarn’s fringes creates atmospheric light reflections that turn every snowflake into a little treasure.

The pattern includes written crochet instructions for the three snowflakes made from sponge yarn, and I’ve also created multicolored crochet charts for the three designs.
Even beginners with some experience who can crochet in rounds starting with a magic ring and can make chain stitches, slip stitches, single crochet, and double crochet can easily recreate these snowflakes.

All you need is sponge yarn, a size 4.5 crochet hook, a needle to weave in ends, and a pair of scissors. You won’t need any additional materials like wire and/or spray starch for these snowflakes, since the recommended sponge yarn holds its shape very well.

You can find the pattern here

Beautiful decoration that really comes into its own on a festively decorated table! Even though this tealight holder is made only of paper, it looks very elegant and is every bit as lovely as glittering metal or ceramic decor.

The tealight holder is made from photo cardstock and measures approx. 18 x 2.5 x 18 cm. With a little crafting experience and practice cutting with a craft knife, it is very easy to make.

Crocheted dishcloths are very popular right now. They can also be quickly repurposed as trivets or pot holders.

This stitch pattern is worked over just one row, and it’s a great way to use up some leftover yarn. You should know how to make single crochet, chain stitches, double crochet, and half double crochet.

This heart made of sponge yarn is a beautiful decoration for your bathroom or kitchen—and it’s practical, too: You can use the heart as a bath sponge or dish sponge.

The heart is quick and easy to crochet using single crochet stitches in spiral rounds, and—paired with shower gel, for example—it also makes a lovely gift or token of appreciation for someone close to your heart or someone you’d like to thank from the bottom of your heart.

The heart is also perfect for beginners who know how to crochet a magic ring, single crochet, and decrease and increase stitches.

The pattern for the heart is available here

Potholders never go out of style and are always useful.
With a maritime theme (affectionately called “Pottlappen”), these models are very decorative in any galley.

The handy kitchen helpers are crocheted in Tunisian simple stitch, which really isn’t that hard—just give it a try.

I crocheted all the “Pottlappen” with cotton yarn and a size 3 Tunisian crochet hook.

The patterns include:
  • practice section for the Tunisian simple stitch
  • colored stitch charts for the motifs
  • pattern with explanation of color changes
  • the corded edge is also described

All patterns are beginner-friendly and written without abbreviations.

The tealight holder is made of photo cardstock and measures approx. 13 x 1.8 x 11 cm. With a little crafting experience and a bit of painting talent, it is very easy to make.

This little fir forest is a great decoration that you can also use, for example, as an Advent calendar, gift wrapping, or a children’s toy.
Even if you still need an Advent calendar this year, you can still make it happen—just set up a new tree every day and let the forest grow slowly.
Why not crochet a handful of fir trees in advance, which you can then add to over the next few weeks?
