Dear readers, dear authors, I’d love to know how much time you actually have right now to devote to your DIY projects and crafts.
Do you have enough time? Would you like to have more time for crafts? With all the Christmas preparations in December, do you even have any time left for crafts?
Please share how things are going for you.
Have a wonderful week, everyone!
I’m constantly knitting or crocheting.
I also love knitting or crocheting gifts…
...that way I have a good excuse to “have to” do a lot of needlework ;-)
Plus, I also work in a yarn shop, so you “have to” test one yarn or another, etc., to be able to tell customers about it. Great job!
Still, I feel like I need even more time for my needlework.
That said, the “important things in life” mustn’t be neglected either. And to motivate myself to do these sometimes unloved tasks, I like to “reward” myself afterward with a few minutes of needlework time.
*lol* It’s almost self-deception, but the kind that makes you happy! ;-)
I’m just "crazy about yarn" - or is that already an addiction?
Best regards to all my "fellow sufferers",
to everyone who "just loves needlework",
to all those who haven’t been hit quite so hard by it
and also to those reading this post while shaking their heads! ;-)

The question should really be the other way around: How much time do you have at the moment for everyday things (apart from working hours)? ;-)
I'm in such Christmas stress—knitting gifts, crocheting Christmas ornaments, making decorations... I hardly have time for anything else. But I'm having an incredible amount of fun, and I'm already looking forward to the faces of the recipients. And to my Christmas tree, which I want to completely cover in crochet this year.
I’m in the same boat as Michaela—there’s hardly any time left for housework, so I’m just getting it done as quickly as possible right now. Next week I’ll be at a Christmas market, and preparations are in full swing, and then—yay!—I’ll be in the Caribbean for two weeks.
Love,
Luise
Since I started on my Christmas gifts back in May, I’m almost done, luckily. Now I just have to sew together the biggest gift by far.
Otherwise, my day goes like this: I get up, eat, crochet until lunch, crochet some more—and before I know it, it’s already 6 p.m. Then I check crazypatterns to see if I’ve sold anything or post a new pattern, and around 8 p.m. I crochet some more until 10 or 11 p.m., then I go to bed and dream about my next idea.
With 3 kids (10/8/4), there’s unfortunately not enough time—especially now that I’m also working on orders.... but when you have understanding customers, it all works out without any stress.... but as I said, I don’t have a lot of time either.... In the morning, once everyone’s out of the house (school/preschool), I can get started; then I take a break when they’re all back home, until the kids are all in bed (around 8 p.m.); then I keep going, sometimes until 1:00 a.m., to make up for the lost time… and get up again at 6 a.m. ;) … I’m sure it’s pretty much the same for some of you!
