These cute little gnomes can be crocheted in all sizes and colors and then filled with gifts. There is also a gnome house for a large gift on Christmas Eve.

The gnomes and the house can later be played with or displayed as fun decorations. For example, they are also fun on the breakfast table with a boiled egg inside. There are no limits to your imagination.

Very easy to crochet, even for beginners with basic skills.

If you don’t have an idea for an Advent calendar yet, you might like this suggestion.

Since all the little Christmas trees are exactly the same, you don’t have to think too hard here—once you’ve seen how it’s done with the first one, the rest will go like clockwork! The trees are made of cardstock, each measuring approx. 7 x 8.5 x 8 cm, and are suitable even for beginners.

Waiting for Christmas—a wonderful time full of secrets and surprises. With a lovingly handmade Advent calendar the waiting is so much more fun than with a store-bought, run-of-the-mill calendar.

The handmade one is fun even while you’re crocheting it. You choose the colors and the size of the pockets (depending on the yarn you choose), and you can decorate, fill, and arrange everything beautifully however you like. With a store-bought one, you have to take what you get—even if it’s the same chocolate 24 times :-(

My Advent calendar consists of 24 colorful pockets, which you can either arrange on a festively decorated tray or tie to a portable clothes hanger. For all the items I used, I include the source in the pattern. The printable template (red stars) for the numbers 1 to 24 is included.

After Christmas, you can continue using the little pockets to store treasures of all kinds. The pockets can also be used again on an Easter table setting.

I hope you enjoy the Advent calendar, and when the time comes, have a lovely Christmas season.

Yours, Ina

With this Advent calendar you can only ever see eight containers. All the others are hidden inside the calendar and only drop down one at a time when you pull out a visible container.

The calendar is made from photo cardstock and has a compact size of approx. 12.8 x 12.8 x 12.8 cm.  The individual containers are approx. 6 x 2 x 5.5 cm. To make sure everything fits together in the end, you need to work very precisely and accurately. Otherwise, the calendar is easy to make.

A hand-crocheted Advent calendar is truly something very special. Once made, it becomes a very special eye-catcher again every year.

The individual little bags are quick and easy to make; crochet one now and then in between, and the calendar grows piece by piece. If you make each little bag 3 times in a different color sequence, you’ll get 24 individual little bags.

The individual little bags offer enough space to hide small surprises for your loved ones.

Here’s the pattern

The little sweet band of gnomes would love to move in with you and delight your loved ones during the Christmas and Advent season.
Crochet pattern for eight different gnome motifs and sweet little bags to fill.

The gnomes are small pouches; they are closed with a transparent elastic ring that is placed around the nose. The little gnome pouches are big enough to hold pretty gifts, such as lipstick, perfume samples, nail polish, jewelry, or of course sweets.

The gnomes also make great decorations on the Christmas tree or door wreath.

Here’s the pattern

You can easily adapt this Advent calendar to the space you have available: You can arrange the stars on a surface or hang them up, either one above the other or side by side—whatever works best for you.

The calendar is made from photo cardstock, very easy to craft, and even suitable for crafting with children. The stars are approx. 17.5 x 17 x 4.5 cm. You can also use them as gift packaging for small presents or party favors.

This Advent calendar takes a little time to make—after all, you’ll need to craft 24 individual containers. So it’s best to download it right away and get started!

The calendar is made of photo-quality cardstock and measures approximately 13 x 30 x 15 cm. It’s not difficult to assemble, but you’ll need to work with particular precision. The calendar is sturdy and can be reused multiple times, so the effort put into making it is definitely worth it.

I think these fir trees make a wonderfully decorative Advent calendar... for example, you could empty one fir tree each day and add it to the display, so the forest grows until Christmas. Or you can number the trees in the classic way and have a wonderful forest throughout the entire Advent season.

With the crocheted fir trees, you can also create other wonderful decorative elements (not just...) for Christmas, or use them as packaging for small gifts...

The Advent calendar for cat fans.

Of course, you can also use the individual crocheted heads as little gift bags, or you can crochet them from scrubby yarn and use them as soap pouches that make showering very pleasant.

You can also crochet these cat heads wonderfully from various leftover yarn.

Theo is actually a counting chain for children starting school... but without the beads, he will also work wonderfully as an Advent calendar mobile for aquarium fans.
Just fill the big mouth with suitable treats and hang the fish on a branch.

This Santa Claus with a reindeer sleigh and gift sack is a very special Advent calendar. The sack is only filled in the evening, so no one is tempted to “peek” at the surprises ahead of time. Plus, this way you can also respond to a spontaneous wish now and then.
The sleigh, reindeer, Santa Claus, and gift sack can be crocheted from leftover yarn. Santa’s arms and legs are flexible thanks to built-in pipe cleaner wire. So you can set him up differently every day, especially since the sleigh and reindeer are not permanently attached either.

This Advent calendar is as versatile and individual as you are! Whether you prefer them very simple and elegant or colorful and playful, these little bags let you really get creative!

And with the pattern, you’ll get everything you need for the custom design of your Advent bags:
* instructions for 3 different sizes of the bags
* an additional crochet chart for the base and edge of the bags
* a print template for the numbers — also in 3 different sizes
* a technique section for the different design options, e.g. sewing on bows and sequins
* as well as plenty of ideas for customizing your bags

Little tip:
You can also simply leave out the numbers and crochet small, practical gift bags to beautifully package little treats or Advent sweets.

An Advent calendar that’s suitable for the whole family, because adults love Advent calendars too.

Frau Holle’s bag is filled every evening, so someone different can take a turn each time and spontaneously come up with a surprise, or you can attach a nice message to the clip on the door.
After filling, the shutters are closed with a snap fastener, so it stays exciting and the next day a little door (shutter) can be opened in the traditional way.

Even after the Christmas season, Frau Holle makes a wonderful wintry door wreath.

Crochet Pattern Advent Calendar Frau Holle

To make it, you should be familiar with the following:

magic ring, chain stitches, slip stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, as well as increasing and decreasing stitches.

You’ll find exact material details directly in the pattern, click here.

As always, the pattern is written in a beginner-friendly way without abbreviations.

Here’s something digital:

These humorous animations feature colors that aren’t typically associated with Christmas and stand out beautifully from classic Christmas posts.

@Rita-Nuschegg,
That's nice of you to share the Christmas spirit.
Unfortunately, external links aren't allowed here, so I had to remove the link.

Unusual, but beautiful ♥

The FUCHS Advent calendar consists of 24 crocheted cone-shaped bags featuring a fox design :-)
Crocheted in various shades of orange, you’ll get a one-of-a-kind Advent calendar ♥

The cone-shaped bags are made with cotton yarn (125 m/50 g) and a 2.5 mm hook, measuring approximately 19 cm high and 11 cm wide.
