You can bring so much joy with little things made from leftover yarn. Bookworms, for example, are always happy to receive a beautiful, unusual bookmark.

This little crocheted dragon is meant to bring good luck and is the ideal small gift for anyone who enjoys reading fairy tales, legends, and fantasy stories. If you want to make it a bigger gift, add the matching book too!

Here’s the pattern!

Summer is over, but you can bring a little beach feeling home with these crocheted shells. They’re not difficult to crochet, and you can wonderfully use up small amounts of leftover yarn. Almost any yarn is suitable for this. The shells turn out especially beautiful if you use sock yarn with short color repeats.

Anyone who gets to fall asleep with a cute little cuddly sheep feels safe and secure right away—especially if the sheep was crocheted by Mom, Grandma, or their favorite aunt. If you use yarn that’s thick enough, you can even build in a music box that gently “sings” the baby to sleep.
You’ll find the crochet pattern here!

Knitting Pattern: “Nights in Toronto” Scarf

This pattern is also great for beginners to follow, as the design is created by knitting and purling stitches. The pattern is also described in detail row by row (up to the repeat) and is easy to follow.

For this project, I used Rowan Super Fine Merino 4-ply yarn with a yardage of 165 m / 50 g. Using 4 mm knitting needles, I used 300 g of yarn to achieve a finished length of 166 cm (short side) / 220 cm (long side) and a width of 26 cm.

Every mom loves baby booties (knitting pattern) . This pattern, which is knitted with a set of double-pointed needles, also incorporates some crocheting. The booties are knitted at the bottom, and the top edge is crocheted.

It’s a lovely project for using up some yarn from your scrap bin.

There are only two months left until the first door of the Advent calendar opens. If you want to make your own Advent calendar, it’s time to get serious about it :-).

This Advent calendar is made of photo cardstock and measures approximately 28 x 4.5 x 32 cm. The individual boxes measure approximately 4.5 x 4.5 x 7.8 cm; they’re glued in just one spot and otherwise held together with tabs. The calendar is very easy to make and is also suitable for beginners.

I'd be happy to introduce you to two of my most popular patterns here. All crochet patterns include lots of pictures and detailed step-by-step explanations, so they can also be made easily by ambitious beginners:

Crochet pattern for Beanie HERBSTFREUDE

This beanie is started from the cuff and is therefore very easy to adjust to any head circumference. Different types and weights of yarn can be used for the hat.
Get the crochet pattern here and start crocheting: Beanie HERBSTFREUDE

Crochet pattern for Beanie KUSCHELGLÜCK

This beanie is also started from the bottom and can therefore be easily adjusted to any head circumference. You can use many yarn weights. The pattern will then be chunkier or finer.

Knitting pattern for a scarf

Cable-look design without a cable needle. This model is knitted using only knit and purl stitches and is also suitable for beginners with a little practice. In the pattern you’ll find a written explanation of the design, and a knitting chart is also included.

I used 200 grams of a yarn with approx. 160 m yardage
