☞ Question of the Week: Christmas tree decorations — what do you hang on yours?

Dear users, dear authors,
I’d like to know what you hang on your Christmas tree at Christmas.
Classic Christmas baubles, or more handmade ornaments? Garlands? Tinsel? Crocheted or knitted items? Sweets, real or handmade?
Let me know.

Since my cats used to race up and down the tree when they were younger—and, of course, destroyed plenty of ornaments in the process—I’ve switched to plastic trees and mini trees that are too small for them to climb. There isn’t much space on them to hang anything, though.

Last year we didn’t have a tree because I just wasn’t really in the Christmas spirit. This year I want to change that, and I’d also like to hang a few more homemade decorations on the tree, like crocheted stars made from glittery yarn. Alongside those, I’ll have the usual “standard” decorations like glass ornaments and tinsel. ☺

Nougat pinecones and crocheted Christmas baubles

I only had homemade decorations on my tree.
The only thing I’m still missing is a particularly beautiful angel for the top.
So I’ll be putting up my tree like that again this year.
