Autumn decoration:

You can easily crochet the sweet hedgehog in one weekend. He is cuddly soft, thanks to the thin chenille yarn used (approx. 20 g Bohème Velvet by GoHandmade, yardage 190 m / 50 g; color Vintage Curry). The spines don’t prick at all either, because they are crocheted from soft eyelash yarn (approx. 25 g Brazilia by Schachenmayr, yardage 90 m / 50 g; color Camouflage 00123). The play of colors comes straight from the skein and makes the fur look more lively.
Now that autumn is coming, you can include Ingo in your autumn decorations. Once autumn is over, your children will surely love using him for cuddling.
With the recommended yarn, Ingo will be about 14 cm tall. If you don’t like crocheting with chenille yarn, you can also use cotton with a yardage of 125 m/50 g. This will change the size only slightly.
Here is the pattern for little hedgehog Ingo!

The squirrel Kiki goes very well with Ingo:
It is about the same size as Ingo and is crocheted from reddish-brown cotton (Catania by Schachenmayr, color Rust) and long-fiber eyelash yarn (Peppina by Lana Grossa). You can crochet Kiki in a weekend too.
The pattern for Kiki the squirrel is available here!

Fly agarics also make a pretty autumn decoration. They are also said to bring good luck! Here you can see the flower child Fly Agaric with his brother, trudging through the autumn forest. Crocheted from leftover yarn in white, red, and skin-tone colors, the two are quick to make as well.  The large mushroom is 15 cm tall and the small one is about 9 cm tall. So the two of them would also be happy to join Ingo and Kiki.

How about a few new socks?

These spiral socks are suitable for anyone who can’t quite get used to knitting heels.

Thanks to their shape, spiral socks hug the foot, and since they are knitted without a heel, they fit across several foot sizes.

Here you’ll find the pattern for socks without heels

A crocheted headband like this is quick to make, and this pattern makes it easy to recreate.

With a little practice, you can customize the size individually, both in height and head circumference.

For a head circumference of 55 cm, you’ll need about 50 grams of yarn. The pattern repeat is one row and is easy to follow if you know how to make single crochet, chain stitches, double crochet, and half double crochet.

This headband is a real eye-catcher thanks to its cable detail. It is knitted from merino wool and can also be made easily by beginners (with some knitting experience).

A crossbody bag for toddlers—either for preschool or just to take along on walks. It can hold lots of treasures, like chestnuts, acorns, and pinecones. My granddaughter absolutely loves her bag. The strap is adjustable to 3 different sizes.

Good crochet experience is helpful here.

These leggings are just right for fall and winter when toddlers are playing outside. They are comfortable and still fit snugly and warmly against the body. The leggings are knitted from sock yarn. They fit from age 3 and will grow with the child for a while.

Easy to make, even for beginners with knitting experience. They can even be knitted with circular needles, except for the leg cuffs.

I’d like to introduce you to three crochet projects with patterns from my shop that you can enjoy crocheting in a nice, relaxing way over the weekend.

LICHTERZAUBER Lanterns

For this project, all you need is an empty large yogurt jar and 3/4 skein of amigurumi yarn, meaning size 3 cotton yarn, and you’re ready to get started. The jars are quick to crochet around, so you can make several of them over the weekend. Since only chain stitches, single crochet, slip stitches, and double crochet are used, this crochet pattern is also absolutely suitable for beginners.

HERBSTWALD Gnome

Fall is slowly approaching, so you can already start thinking about fall decorations. My suggestion would be these gnomes. You can also use up some of your leftover yarn here. Since the pattern contains lots of pictures and detailed step-by-step explanations, ambitious beginners can give this project a try too.

KUSCHELGLÜCK Beanie

This beanie can easily be adjusted to any head circumference. That means you can crochet it for children and adults alike. You can also use almost any yarn for crocheting. The pattern will then turn out either chunkier or finer.

My double loop made from 200g of Brando is super easy to knit, so it’s really relaxing to work on alongside other things.
It is knitted in a simple 2-color brioche stitch, which makes it wearable on both sides.

You should choose 2 extremely contrasting colors—the more different they are, the better the result.

A little craft project for the weekend and a pretty decoration for fall!

These tea light holders are made from cardstock and measure about 11 cm in diameter. They’re very easy to make and are wonderfully suitable for beginners, too.
