Winnie the Pooh

Hi, I need a German crochet pattern for Winnie the Pooh, or someone who could translate the English pattern for me.

Hi Susanne, 

The problem is that Winnie Pooh is a licensed character, so you’ll hardly find any German patterns for it... (you can’t just write a pattern like that and sell it, or anything similar.) 

Translating it will also be difficult, since it’s also not allowed to simply translate patterns for someone. 

Maybe you can somehow find a chubby teddy bear that you can easily adapt, one that could pass as Winnie Pooh?

That might be difficult. Winnie the Pooh is a licensed product. To distribute it, you need a license from Disney. They’re very strict about that.

But you could choose a teddy bear pattern here for a bear that looks similar to Winnie and crochet it in the appropriate colors.

I don’t think anyone here will be able to help you either. I know you’ve already asked about this on other sites and got the same answers there as you’re getting here. The only real alternative is to find a similar pattern and adapt it if necessary.

Yes, I know all that, but why is the English pattern officially available for purchase then?
Unfortunately, I still haven’t found the right bear that would come close to it.

I also have an English pattern, but I don’t understand it because it’s not written very well... Unfortunately, not every Winnie the Pooh turns out well. I also have a pattern in Russian—it would be great if you could understand everything. The translation isn’t always accurate either. Are there any patterns in German? Does anyone know where to find good character patterns that are easy to understand and well-described? Many thanks to all you crocheters. Maybe there are others out there who have the same problem as I do. 

There’s a crochet book called “Heroes of Childhood.” I think Winnie the Pooh is in it.
