Projects that don’t require buying extra materials are perfect for the weekend. You’re sure to have some leftover yarn at home for doll clothes. You can get started right away.

In this gorgeous dress, which shimmers in all the colors of the rainbow, Barbie is sure to be a hit at any summer party. It’s very easy to crochet and looks different every time, depending on which colors you use. You can crochet it as a long evening gown or a short party dress. The pattern for the matching Pompadour bag is also included.

The pattern is available here: Crochet a Rainbow Dress.

And if you’re already crocheting doll clothes: You can also crochet these 4 little dresses using leftover yarn (12–15 g per dress). They all feature a wide, practical cowl neckline so they’re easy to slip on. The skirt sections vary, creating completely different looks: simple or funky, ladylike or girly.

How about a cute leftover-yarn project for your children or grandchildren?
The dolls probably need a new pair of trousers again. These fit dolls measuring 45–50 cm.

These trousers can easily be knitted over a weekend, even by beginners with some knitting experience.

Note: There are also patterns available for a matching sweater or a little jacket with a hat.

A real beginner project—even with leftover yarn—is this cuddly little bear for babies. It’s very easy to knit. The pattern explains every step in detail.

There is also perfectly matching clothing for this little bear. The pattern includes the sweater and a sleeping bag. The advantage here is that the bear does not need to be washed as often. After all, it is “wearing protective clothing.” ;-)

This is what it looks like with the clothing on—it also fits other teddy bears about 35–40 cm tall.

Theo, the counting fish, is quick to crochet and is there to help when the first math lessons begin.

The photo above was taken in my garden. I’d made myself comfortable on my patio and crocheted lots of squares from my leftover yarn. It’s a wonderfully relaxing project, since every square is crocheted exactly the same way. No counting, nothing complicated—I always call this “relaxation crocheting.”

Afterward, I crocheted all the squares together. Then I added a border around the edges, and voilà—a beautiful children’s blanket. Maybe this is a nice idea for you, too, to use up your leftover yarn. You can always use beautiful blankets, and they always make a lovely gift.

Click here to see more photos, information, and the pattern. I hope you enjoy this project.

Warm regards—Ina

How about a new little nightgown for your daughter’s or granddaughter’s Barbies ?
It’s always a good fit and brings joy. The pattern is also very easy for crochet beginners to follow, since, as always, I describe and show everything in detail.

Click here for more photos, information, and the pattern.

I hope you enjoy this pretty little project. Yours, Ina

Maybe you still have a yarn cake at home that doesn’t know what it wants to become. Then I have a lovely suggestion. Crochet a beautiful endless blanket from it. This one is very easy to crochet from the center outward. It will be exactly as big as you want or as far as the yarn will go. It has no seam and looks the same on the front and back. We only have to weave in 2 ends. That sounds like relaxing crochet, doesn’t it?

This blanket doesn’t require great skill, but it does take diligence and perseverance. I hope you have lots of fun with this pattern. Yours, Ina

This is a very simple granny square. You can crochet it quite easily while doing other things. Maybe for a pillow or, in different colors, for a blanket.

Granny Number 7 complements my other 6 granny squares, and you can combine them all beautifully to create a mixed-pattern blanket .

This granny square requires knowledge of single crochet, double crochet, and chain stitches.

Got everything important taken care of? Now you can finally devote yourself to your hobby and make this colorful, practical, and quite spacious gift bag for future gifts.

The bag is made from cardstock and measures approximately 19 x 18.5 x 8 cm. Reinforcing elements make it particularly sturdy, so it can hold even slightly heavier gifts. The bag is very easy to make and well suited for beginners.

Do you have some leftover white yarn and would like to crochet something for Halloween already?
Then this egg cozy might be just the thing for you....

I’ve named the little ghost Friedolin...

By the way, you can also place an LED tea light underneath it so it can spread its spooky mood in the evening too...

You can find the crochet pattern with exact details on the materials and skills required here: https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/items/30453/eierwaermer-gespenst-friedolin-haekelanleitung
