Summer Monday at the end of June: How are you all doing?

Dear users, dear authors,
how are you?
What are you up to?
What’s for dinner?
Do you have any craft goals or weekly plans?
Who gets a day off because of the heat? How hot is it where you are?

It was already 23° here at 8 a.m. this morning, and now it’s 27°. I always suffer a lot in these temperatures—I struggle with circulatory problems and dizziness, and I spend a lot of time lying down because I just feel like I’m on a *merry-go-round*.
Today I’m having stuffed pancakes with a vegetable filling; it’s quick and absolutely delicious.

It’s currently 33 degrees in the shade here. The housework is mostly done; we’re having chicken and salad for dinner today. Now I just need to help my daughter with her homework, and then I’ll start editing and captioning the photos for the new sloth pattern. I might even knit a little tonight if it’s not too hot.

It’s 29 degrees, and I have to go out into the heat later (it’ll probably feel like 35 degrees) to pick something up. I can’t go later.

My crafting goal: crochet an RVO cardigan.

I had spaghetti with kidney beans, celery, and tomato sauce.

Hi everyone, it’s around 30 degrees here, too. Once Anton finishes his nap, we want to head back to the lake. So far, Anton is still very timid:

Your Anton is such a sweet guy, and I wouldn’t say he’s a coward—he has a healthy respect for deep water, so caution is definitely called for at first. That’s a completely normal reaction—

I’m actually glad he’s being a little cautious :-) and today he even went in up to his belly all on his own. But he held my hand really tight… so cute. 

Oh Sandra, that’s such a cute picture. Yeah, I’d say Anton’s a bit wary, too. He’s getting curious on his own. You just have to “sell” the water to him as something really great. ;-)

We’re in the Allgäu with the RV, and it was 30 degrees there today, too. I actually ended up getting my first sunburn of the year. I finally had plenty of time to crochet and made pretty good progress. I’ve been enjoying spending time with my two granddaughters these past few days. Tomorrow we’re heading back home, and I’m looking forward to the garden. With the heat coming, I’d rather be in the much cooler apartment.

Tomorrow we’ll be packing our bags, too. On Wednesday, we’re heading home.  We’ll be stopping over in Prague for two nights and spending one night with friends in the Harz Mountains.

I’ll be glad to be home, too. I received some terrible news today. One of my oldest friends is in the hospital with a minor stroke, a tear in her carotid artery, and severe vision loss.... and I’m so far away. 

Oh dear, Sandra, you’ve still got a hot drive ahead of you. It’s good that you’re taking it in stages. In any case, I wish you a safe trip.

We’re home now, and I’m really glad—especially since the heat is really kicking in now.

I wish your friend all the best and hope she gets through this well. You’ll be back with her soon, after all. In situations like this, friends are truly something very precious.

In Prague, we have a hotel room with air conditioning, so at least we can cool the room down a bit.

With Anton, it wouldn’t work at all without stops along the way, and I don’t like driving that long without a break either

It's pretty warm here. Right now, after work, I'd rather be down in the basement painting shelves. Unfortunately, no heat day off, and you don't really feel like eating in these temperatures either. 

Our grandson is coming this weekend, and we're planning to go to the creek. Until then, it's just normal everyday life...….
