Dear users, dear authors,
Pentecost is coming up soon. Do you have any special Pentecost decorations?

Don’t you like Pentecost decorations?

I don’t have any special decorations for Pentecost; I don’t do anything special—I just enjoy the days off.

I have no idea how to decorate for Pentecost! I hope someone else does this, because I’d really like to know if there are any special decorations!

I love peonies, but I don’t use them for decorations. They stay in the garden—I definitely get more out of them that way.

Otherwise, I’d say that 90% of the time, Pentecost is simply an occasion for vacations and public holidays.

I actually do know what it’s really about now, but I don’t have any specific decoration ideas either.

But since I’m still somehow hoping that spring and summer will eventually arrive, I’m sticking with the typical “spring decorations.” Flowers, butterflies, and things like that. I keep those up all summer long and then swap them out for autumn colors and leaves.

I’d be interested to hear if anyone has any Pentecost decoration ideas, though.

I don’t have any special Pentecost decorations either—just the flowers and plants I already have in my apartment. We don’t celebrate Pentecost in any special way; school’s out, but we’re just enjoying the days off. We’ll see—if the weather’s nice (and it doesn’t rain), we might head over to my parents’ place to hang out in the garden.

I’m not aware of any specific decorations for Pentecost either. But if you want to honor the Christian significance of the occasion (the descent of the Holy Spirit), you could decorate with doves, since the dove is, as we know, the symbol of the Holy Spirit. Peonies and young birch twigs also work well. But as Birgit already said, you get much more out of peonies in the garden than in a vase.
