I plan to work out (at the gym), tidy up, write patterns, and knit, knit, knit—maybe even do a little crocheting. I’ll also do some laundry on the side. Since it’s supposed to be rainy and cold here on Saturday, I can cozy up and get my knitting needles out. On Sunday, it’s supposed to reach 20 degrees, so I’ll take advantage of the weather (if the sun is out) and spend some time outside. Maybe I’ll go to the pool, too—we’ll see.

I have absolutely no plans… which I actually think is pretty nice…
In any case, we’ve already kicked off the weekend with a delicious meal at a Greek restaurant, so it’s off to a good start.

I’m hoping for a slightly longer break from the rain so I can go for a walk… or maybe visit a flea market… if it rains nonstop, it’ll be a crafting weekend.

Today we’re just going shopping quickly, and after that, it’s simply time to laze around!
Tomorrow morning we have to go to church because our daughter has her presentation service. After that, everything is still open. I think I’ll have enough time for knitting.

I have a girls’ night out tonight. We’re going out for a delicious meal and some chatting.

Tomorrow I’m going to see Boss Hoss—I won tickets through the Bild newspaper. The tickets include not only the concert, but also a “Meat & Great” event, which features a small private concert in the truck. I’m really looking forward to it.

However, my husband has a terrible cold. He even had a nosebleed last night (which is very unusual for him).

I hope he’s feeling better tomorrow so he can come with me. It would be a real shame if he couldn’t make it.

@Arni
I hope you have a great time tomorrow—that sounds fantastic, and it would be just my kind of thing too :-)

The weather here is a total mess too—rain, rain, rain, and plenty of wind in between. So it’s the perfect weather for lounging around :-)

I already made some kiwi-blood orange jam today and did “a little” cleaning. In the evening, as always, I'll be going to my favorite Greek restaurant, and then it’s TV until late at night.

Tomorrow is a day for family and relaxing.

After a gray week in the mountains, with snow and rain, the sky was bright blue and cloudless this morning—beautiful weather for the drive home! Back home, there was spring-like warmth, blooming crocuses and primroses…
Against all reason, I let myself get swept up in doll fever and started working on the Schlüttli tonight. I hope the result makes up for my guilty conscience! After all, I’m knitting with yarn I’ve had stashed away for a long time…
Tomorrow is shaping up to be a perfectly normal Sunday: church, a little writing after a reading siesta, then knitting…

My weekend project was a quilt made from old shopping bags that I had sewn myself and partly embroidered. I took the bags apart, cut them into equal-sized squares, and then sewed them together. For the backing, I used an old flannel duvet cover, so it’s nice and cozy without being too warm—I really don’t like that at all.

@Arni : I hope your husband was feeling better and that you were able to enjoy the day together.

@Akela : That’s a great idea, but it must have been a lot of work. Your blanket turned out great, though.

We went for a nice walk at lunchtime today. It still felt like spring out there—beautiful sunshine and great temperatures.

The frogs by the lake seemed to think so, too. They were either lazily basking in the sun or on the lookout for a mate.

Our microwave gave out on Friday—we’d been expecting that for at least two years, since it had been acting up for that long. Then on Saturday morning, the digital receiver for cable TV broke down (it smelled disgustingly burnt...) and the switch on my ancient Krups blender stopped working too... so we went shopping first...
Mass suicide of the appliances...
Do you know that too, when things like that happen in clusters?
Other than that, it was a pretty peaceful weekend.

Well, my husband was still too sick, so I went to see Boss Hoss with a good friend. It was really great and a ton of fun.
It was a shame my husband couldn’t come along. But he has to go on a business trip tomorrow, so he needs to be in good shape.
