I still love merino wool. I also like alpaca, and in the summer, bamboo yarn. As for colors, after my natural-colored coat, I’m in the mood for something more colorful again. Perfect for spring—anything from pastels to bright, vibrant colors. To match, I’m currently knitting toe-up socks and crocheting a door wreath.
The new chenille yarn is also beautifully colorful, but it’ll have to wait for a burst of creativity.

Right now, I love working with beads the most :)

As for colors, anything that reminds me of spring—with this bad weather, you just have to think about something else. Here’s an example; I hope I’ll finish the bracelet soon.

I like to work with a blend of 50% cotton and 50% acrylic.

My current favorite colors are shades of red and green.

Good old sheep’s wool. It keeps the rain out, is warm, and is great for knitting.
Colors. All of them :-))))) (except brown and beige)

I really like the new fashion color Living Coral. I recently knitted a headband in this color.

Deleila: Your bracelet looks great. That’s that stringing technique, like the coasters we used to make, right? I also do crafts with beads (flowers, earrings, bookmarks, doilies). Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to devote much time to this hobby lately.
Crocheting is my thing right now.

I mainly work with cotton yarns in all pastel shades, and I love all the colors of the rainbow. As long as it’s colorful.

I don’t have a favorite color or a favorite material.
I think every project has its own requirements.

For example, I like to crochet decorative items out of cotton or acrylic because the colors are so vibrant.

I also made my sofa blanket out of acrylic—it’s very easy to wash, not too heavy, and keeps you warm. You can even build forts with it—just toss it in the washing machine and you’re good to go.

But I wouldn’t want to crochet clothing out of it… it doesn’t feel comfortable to me and usually ends up being way too stiff.
In that case, though, I prefer to decide on a project-by-project basis whether it should be cozy or airy… I have to feel the yarn first.

For baby toys, I’ve always made sure the yarn is saliva-safe. The dyes used aren’t exactly that healthy… When I did use plain cotton for a music box once, I washed the finished piece twice in hot water before use and was then disappointed that the colors had faded a lot… the baby would have sucked all that out… not a pleasant thought.

By the way, I always find felting yarn very exciting, since the result is always a little surprise.

My favorite material is anything natural. I make sure to shop as sustainably as possible and also support my local shop owner.

Colors: whatever works—it’s usually project-specific and also depends a bit on my mood. I need to be able to feel the yarn first and visualize what I’ll make with it. That’s why it works for me to shop at a yarn store… where I can spend time browsing while the yarn slowly takes shape in my hands before I buy it.
