February was great overall. I’m very satisfied in every personal and other way.
Yesterday it started getting stormy. Our benches in the garden had already tipped over today, and we first rescued some things back into the cellar.

At the moment, my favorite thing to knit is doll and teddy bear clothes. This week a new doll Schlüttli should be finished.

Right now I’m baking flatbread on a baking sheet every other morning. It’s super quick and tastes really delicious. The recipe is also very simple. I got it from the site "Frag-Mutti"—but adapted it a bit myself.

Quick Flatbread

Text removed, mod. If needed, please search Google for the recipe using the title and source.

I bake it in the morning after getting up, and when I come out of the bathroom, the bread is ready.

By the way, it’s also very tasty for children because it’s crispy all around.

Copying text from websites is not allowed.
Since you apparently only modified the recipe but didn’t write it yourself, I’m removing it and leaving only the recipe title and the source. That way, interested readers can google it if necessary.

I had my 50th birthday at the end of January, and my dear sister ominously joked:
Just wait, for me the health problems started at 50. Better brace yourself...

A week later: February began with severe pain and cramps that wrapped around my lower ribs—of course on a Saturday.
When it didn’t get better, we went to the hospital on Sunday to have it checked out... and then I had to stay there right away.
First there were such lovely exams as a gastroscopy, ultrasound through the stomach and the conventional kind (man, that delicate lady had some strength in her hands; it felt like my ribs were bending...) and when that didn’t show anything, I also had to have a CT scan.
The result was that I most likely had a problem with my gallbladder. They couldn’t say for sure, but you don’t need the gallbladder anyway, and the inflammation levels were so high that it really needed to come out.
Just great to find that out on Wednesday—but honestly, by then I was fine with anything that would end the pain.
So the surgery was on Thursday.
Fortunately, it seems that really was the culprit!
On Sunday I was allowed to go home again, but with a nice cold.
Because of the coughing, one of the glued incisions tore open again and only healed very slowly,..
Also, all the many meds (painkillers, anesthesia for the gastroscopy/ultrasound, fever reducers, antibiotics, contrast agent drunk and injected, and finally the anesthesia for the surgery) messed up my taste buds... For 2 weeks I could hardly taste or smell anything at all, but luckily that very slowly came back afterward.
An itchy rash all over my body was another wonderful reaction to the cocktail.

Thank you, dear sister, for your ominous predictions!!!

Now almost everything is back to normal, I just feel sorry for my sweetheart... apparently I snore terribly when I sleep on my back.
But I still can’t lie on my stomach...

Because of all this crap, I didn’t have much desire to be creative either.
So I found February rather lousy...

With that in mind: Hello March, be kind to me!

Yes, I know, that was quite a bit of whining...
But I just felt like it.
I’ve just woken up again because I rolled onto my stomach and that isn’t exactly comfortable.
So, that’s really enough whining now...

Hi,
this is my first post. I’m a total beginner and just started in February—it’s all brand new and exciting. Before, I used to think it was kind of boring (looking at it from the outside), but now that I’ve started, it’s getting more and more exciting.

Get well soon, dear Claudia :)

I hope you have a great time here, dear Mandy.

February was good to me, and March is off to a good start too.
As for my crafts, I’m working on a summery crocheted hat and a sampler shawl with lace and cable patterns.

Tonight we’re going to cozy up in front of the TV and watch NAVY CIS.

February was okay here on CP—quiet but steady, taking small steps—even though I only published baby blankets, which don’t do that well anyway. But for me, they’re a labor of love for the recipients.

On a personal note, things weren’t so great because I was in a car accident with only property damage, and the insurance company needs two weeks to decide whether to repair the car or write it off.

So things can only get better from here.

Hi Josefa,

the recipe wasn’t copied. I rewrote it completely, and the ingredients are different. Only the idea came from the site mentioned. Too bad it was removed...

February wasn’t my month—it was overshadowed by all sorts of “little aches and pains.” Now things are looking up again, and I can feel my energy returning every day :-).

I’m going to focus more on my crafts again and hope to keep finding ideas that I can actually bring to life.

♥♥Wishing everyone a great March—above all, stay healthy and content. ♥♥

February wasn’t my month either. I was sick for two weeks and didn’t feel like doing any crafts.
Now it’s hit me again in March, but even worse.
Claudia and Petra, I wish you a speedy recovery. When I read what you’ve been through, I can still count myself lucky.

Thanks for the well-wishes.

It wasn’t really that tragic for me—after all, it’s nothing permanent.
Just a total mood killer… and when I wake up at night because I’m lying in an awkward position and can’t fall back asleep, I’m still pretty annoyed.

Sorry, but I just had to vent my frustration last night…

To everyone who’s still feeling under the weather, I’m sending you my warmest get-well wishes and hope you feel better very soon!
