Dear users, dear authors,
February is almost over, so it’s time for the awards ceremony.

How is it done?
Please copy the section between the asterisks into your text field and fill it out. Of course, you can delete anything that doesn’t apply.

When?
The awards ceremony starts on March 4. But I’ll still add you later, too.

Who can join in?
Every user and every author can take part here in the thread. Just get started. :- )

Even small steps count.
Nobody goes home without a title and extra karma points. If someone has had a very stressful everyday life, that can also be honored. If necessary, I’ll come up with a fitting title.

Earn extra points / bonus points and boost your karma:
- There are always extra points for (your own uploaded ) photos.
- Handmade items that are given as gifts also earn extra points.
--> please include details here in the thread.
- Feedback for authors ( reviews, comments, etc. ) is also rewarded with extra points.

Anyone who, as a customer, would like to refer a new customer
should click here. Information about author referrals is available here.

For my grandchildren's 3 baby dolls, I knitted overalls with hats from sock yarn, so they can now be dressed in a sibling look (different colors, but the same pattern):

I also sewed my granddaughter's favorite dress, which had become too small for her, again in a larger size:

Together with the finger puppets and 3 uploaded patterns, that makes 6 finished projects.(Something new is in progress)

For example, I constantly learn from my customers' feedback about where things are considered difficult that often seemed obvious to me. One example of this is the Valentine Heart Teddy pattern, where a customer had trouble crocheting the heart. I then revised it and described the individual steps in even more detail.

UFO Queen in February
I finished two UFOs in February: the scarf made from cuddly yarn had been sitting in a box for a few years, and the men's scarf for a year (it had to be lengthened by one ball of yarn).

Best Use of Leftovers in February
In February, I made the following from leftover yarn: a coin purse, a tissue pouch, two winter children with a sled (pictures shown and sent to the designers), pants and a sweater for Magnus the Garden Mouse (picture to follow)

Shopping Queen / King:
Yesterday, the 5 balls of Creative Bubble I ordered in January arrived.
For the children's cardigan, I had to add six balls in new colors to my Baby Cotton stash.

Sock Queen / Sock King
One sock, size 42/43, knitted with CraSyTrio Bamboo No. 2 1/2 (they cost a small fortune, but they're brilliant!) was finished yesterday; I've completed the cuff on the second one.

Hardworking Little Helper
In addition to the projects already mentioned, I've also made two pairs of finger gloves.
Total February projects: 9, plus that one sock.

Rescuer of Unruly Yarn / Unruly Material, formerly known as Stepchild Yarn Rescuer //
Stepchild Material Rescuer
The blue finger gloves are knitted from old, slightly damaged yarn.

Winter Updates / Cozy Blanket Evenings / Start of Spring
There were also several cozy blanket knitting TV evenings in February.

Addendum to the winter updates:
In glorious winter weather, we went on two fantastic hikes in the snow. If I remember correctly, I even posted a picture of it.

Magnus Gartenmaus is already ushering in spring (though he’ll need an umbrella today!).

ResteBeste in February
[ x] In February I used up lots of pretty, colorful leftover yarn / reduced my leftover basket quite a bit.
That’s how my scrap eaters came about. I also crocheted two covers for my thermos bottles from leftovers, so they keep the contents warm longer. The little baby socks were also made from leftovers (from the big socks). The sweater and the Schlüttli for the teddy bears were made from leftovers too.

Yarn Diet / Yarn Emperor/Empress  in February
[ x] I haven’t bought any yarn for quite a while now - since November 2018. The title Yarn Emperor/Empress definitely and deservedly belongs to me. I’d like to keep reducing my stash at least until summer or longer.

Sock Queen / Sock King
[ x] I worked on socks in February and, if applicable, also finished at least one pair.
I knitted socks for the new grandbaby from the leftovers from my socks. See photo further down.

Busy Little Helper
[x ] I was able to get a lot of handmade projects done in February.
1 cover for the 2nd thermos bottle crocheted from leftover yarn.
Designed and crocheted 4 scrap eaters - gave one of them away.
Knitted 1 pair of baby socks from leftovers
Designed and knitted 1 sweater for the teddy
Designed and knitted 1 Schlüttli for the teddy
Designed and knitted 1 Schlüttli for the new grandbaby

Here are the pictures (scrap eaters further down):

[ x] In February I was also very busy beyond handmade projects / in everyday life.
I caught up on my bookkeeping and am very happy about it.

Pattern Optimization Champion + Hero of the Authors = Author Title
[ x] I uploaded at least one pattern in February.
I uploaded the scrap eaters in February - see the following picture under the evergreen topics.

[ x] In February I worked on the current seasonal topics (warm winter clothing, Easter, Valentine’s Day, carnival, spring, etc.) and uploaded one or more patterns for them, or will still do so.
The scrap eaters fit in here too - see the following evergreen topics

[ x] In February I uploaded / revised a pattern on evergreen topics such as leftover yarn, beginners, animals, owls, etc.
The scrap eaters are a great way to use up leftovers - fun and versatile:

[ x] I developed further as an author in February.
When I’ve written a pattern, I first have others proofread it and work through it before uploading. I take more time than I used to.

Winter Updates /  Cozy Blanket Evenings / Start into Spring
[x ] On cool days / evenings, I wrapped myself in a cozy blanket while doing crafts, or otherwise kept warm, but I had lots of fun doing it.
Since it was pretty cool in February, I spent most evenings knitting wrapped in a blanket.

[ x] I used the sunny days and had fun in the garden / park, etc.
On a few sunny afternoons I already knitted in the garden.

I’m taking the crocheted cover for my sister-in-law’s glass with me into March as a UFO. It didn’t quite get finished.

Yarn Diet / Yarn Emperor/Empress / Inner-Pig-Dog Conqueror in February
[ x ] I didn’t buy any yarn in February and earned the title Yarn Emperor/Empress for a whole month without buying yarn.

Winter updates / cozy blanket evenings / start of spring
[ x ] On cool days / evenings, I wrapped myself in a cozy blanket for crafting or kept myself warm some other way, but I had lots of fun doing it.
Details:
The blanket and a lovely large stole are always ready here by the sofa for cozy crochet evenings...

[ x ] I made use of the sunny days and had fun in the garden / in the park, etc.
Details:
Despite my hay fever, we went for lots of walks since the weather turned so nice.

Not all that much happened for me in February; I basically only worked on my crocheted tunic. It’s such a never-ending project, but I really do want to finish it...

I had already worked the viscose yarn with a relatively large hook into a panel dress, but after sewing it together it was much too heavy—the stitches formed huge “holes” on the shoulders.
So it ended up in the corner for a few months... but the yarn is simply far too beautiful to languish in the corner.
So I picked it up again and am now crocheting a tunic from it with a 2.5 mm hook, also in panels.
I like the stitch definition, but now it’s just taking foreeeeeever... unfortunately, I won’t know whether it fits properly until after I assemble it again. I think that will finally happen next week...

I also discovered a great basic recipe for muffins, and my sweetheart and I were really thrilled with it...

Hello,

Yarn diet / Yarn Empress / Inner-Temptation Conqueror in February

[ X ] I did not buy any yarn in February and earned the title Yarn Empress for a whole month without buying yarn.
[ X ] I have not bought any yarn for quite some time. The
title Yarn Empress is definitely and deservedly mine. But the diet is over now; I will buy yarn in March. Please state the total time period.
[ X ] I would like the title Inner-Temptation Conqueror, because the final round
for world domination / rule over this galaxy / the Milky Way
was and is not enough for me. = 1 whole year without buying yarn. Please state the total time period.
--> is anyone currently working on the Inner-Temptation Conqueror? Marion / Wollefaden and Häkeltrulla have already achieved this title.
[ X ] I am working on the title Super Yarn Mountain Conqueror = yarn diet that continues after
the title Inner-Temptation Conqueror and lasts much more than a
year.
@Wollefaden and @Haekeltrulla, how is it going for you?

It is still going quite well.
But my fingers are itching. I am curious to see how much longer I can keep it up.

[ X ] I was able to get a lot of craft projects done in February.
3 pieces, a teddy bear (commission), 1 Easter basket, and 1 soul warmer

Best, Heike

I'll check in too

Best of Leftovers in February

[x ] I used up lots of pretty, colorful leftover yarn in February and have earned the title Best of Leftovers
for myself.

I made all the pieces from leftover yarn.
1 headband, 2 little clowns, Easter ornaments, and crocheted around a vase.

Yarn Diet / Yarn Emperor/Empress / Inner Slob Conqueror in February

[x ] I am working toward the title Super Yarn Mountain Conqueror = yarn diet that continues after
the title Inner Slob Conqueror and lasts much longer than one
year.
@Wollefaden and @Haekeltrulla, how is it going for you?

So far it’s still going well,

Rescuer of Stubborn Yarn / Stubborn Material, formerly called Neglected Yarn Rescuer //
Neglected Material Rescuer

[x ] In February I used up old, unloved yarn, so I am a Rescuer of Stubborn Yarn.

I crocheted around my flower vase with an old ribbon yarn.( A few years ago, scarves were knitted with it. )

Anything else that comes to mind, you can also write here.

This month I didn’t get much finished. I had a cold for quite a while and just didn’t feel like doing crafts. I only crocheted small pieces.

I’ve gone through the awards once—they can be found at the bottom of the first post in this thread.

Have I missed anything anywhere?

Oh, Josefa, thank you so much! With your wonderful award ceremony, you put a smile on my face on this gloomy day. I’d also like to thank everyone else! Together, you all deserve the title “world’s best crafting community”—you’re all sooooo nice :)

A big thank-you from me as well, Josefa. You’ve put that so well again.

Yes, I really enjoy being part of the world’s best crafting community here. Mel, I really like that name. And I’m so happy about every new addition, because it’s simply more fun together.

With that in mind: A warm welcome, Deleila, to our hardworking bunch! I hope you have lots of fun with your projects, and I can’t wait to see what else you’ll show us.

Josefa, you’ve once again written a wonderful award ceremony post.
You’ve definitely earned the title “Empress of the Award Ceremony” !
I like this community, too—in real life, I don’t have that many craft enthusiasts in my circle.
That’s why I always really appreciate the virtual interaction here.

Yes, Claudia, I feel the same way you do. It’s just such a great and very inspiring exchange here. I think quite a few UFOs would never have gotten finished without this motivation.

Thanks, Josefa! Yes, I also think you’ve finally earned a title—you always do such a great job!
Thanks to CP, crafting is really even more fun, and I’m making things I would never have made otherwise, but be warned: it’s highly addictive! So: A huge thank you to all of you for your ideas, the wonderful patterns, and your posts in the forum!

Thank you so much, Christina!

Yes, it’s really very addictive. I’ve already caught myself checking this forum first thing in the morning.

That’s why I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone here in the forum for participating and sharing your ideas and creations. I’d actually grown tired of forums, so to speak, but I really wouldn’t want to miss out on this inspiring exchange here anymore.

Of course, my thanks also go to you, Josefa. Your motivational spirit really brings energy to the group.

Josefa: Thank you so much for the wonderful awards ceremony and for my title, “Puppet Theater Queen.”

I feel the same way as you all do. I was never really the forum type and always thought it was pretty silly to post anything on a forum like this. But that’s really changed now. :-) I check in here every day, enjoy looking at your projects, and like to share mine. I also
have hardly any craft enthusiasts in my circle of friends, so I’m glad you’re all here.
