This bag, crocheted in the Tunisian simple stitch, is wonderfully suited for practicing Tunisian crochet, especially if you use gradient yarn for it. Then you don’t have to worry about color changes and still have a piece with varied colors.
Tunisian crochet isn’t hard at all. Knitters in particular often get along with it better than with conventional crochet. This crochet technique is described in detail in the pattern.

The following materials were used for this bag:
  • 200 - 250 g Pinta cotton yarn by Junghans-Wolle with a color gradient
  • 30 g cotton yarn. Catania by Schachenmayr in wine red
  • Tunisian crochet hook 4.0 mm, at least 40 cm long
  • regular crochet hook 3.0 mm
  • 1 thick sewing needle

This knitted sweater was made from sock yarn (Jawoll Magic Degradee) with a color gradient in a simple lace pattern. This makes it wonderfully light yet still warm. You can knit it in sizes 36 through 46. In addition to detailed instructions, the pattern includes a schematic, gauge, and knitting chart.

Knitting pattern for a baby bunting bag - swaddle sack in 2 sizes

This wonderful color gradient comes straight from the ball of yarn. The great braided pattern, which is very easy to knit with knit and purl stitches, creates new color effects in every row. The cuddly merino yarn is also especially soft and warm - exactly what we want for a baby bunting bag.

The waistband is worked double and adapts to every little baby tummy thanks to the stretchy rib pattern. Otherwise, you can choose between 2 sizes.

Such a unique baby bunting bag is the ideal gift for parents-to-be ;-). You’ll find more pictures, information, and the pattern itself by clicking on the title.

I hope you enjoy the project - Yours, Ina

Crochet Pattern for a Poncho in 3 Different Variations and a Hat

Even with these little doll accessories, the gorgeous color gradient comes directly from the ball of yarn. In this case, it’s gradient sock yarn. You’ll find more pictures, information, and the pattern by clicking on the title.

You’ll get the crochet pattern for the casual poncho—which you can crochet in different variations—and for the stylish hat. You always start by crocheting a basic poncho. After that, you can decide whether to add a trim or a high collar. Or maybe you’d prefer to combine it with an extra collar. It’s a lot of fun and takes very little work to crochet cute little ponchos for your daughters’ and granddaughters’ dolls using leftover sock yarn.

I hope you have lots of fun with this project—Yours, Ina

Knitting pattern for a lace shawl for beginners

This delicate design leaves nothing to be desired. It is wonderfully easy to knit using just 2 constantly repeating pattern rows. The color effects come directly from the ball of yarn. This makes it an ideal shawl for knitting and lace beginners.

It pairs wonderfully with festive or everyday outfits. Worn open, it reveals its full splendor. But even wrapped and knotted, it shows off beautiful color effects.

You can find more examples, information, and the pattern by clicking on the heading.

I hope you have lots of fun with this knitting project - Yours, Ina

A 4-ply yarn cake (200 - 250 g / 50% cotton, 50% polyacrylic) as well as 3.5 mm circular knitting needles and a wider elastic band (slightly longer than your waist measurement) are all you need for this knit skirt.

You can adjust the skirt to your size.

The lace pattern and ruffles at the hem give the knit skirt a playful touch.

The Arctica soul warmer also looks great in gradient yarn; I knitted it here using a 4-ply yarn cake with 900 m, but you won’t need all of it

The pattern is explained row by row and also shown in a chart. It is knitted as a rectangle, so it can easily be adjusted to your size

This triangular shawl is a beautiful project for gradient yarn.

You start at the tip and finish when you reach the desired size or when your yarn is running low. A final round gives the shawl a nice finish.

I made this shawl using Schachenmayr Tahiti and used 150 grams. Of course, you can also use a yarn cake, but it should be at least 900 m. Click here for the triangular shawl pattern.
