Are you in a spring mood?

Dear users, dear authors,
Are you ready for spring and done with winter?

Yep, we still have snow here and the skiing is great, but the sunny—and, for February, very warm—weather is already putting us in a springtime mood. 

Definitely! I painted our hallway, and now it looks bright and cheerful. I replaced the heavy curtain on the front door with a light, airy one. Everything looks nicer and more spring-like again! 

Yes, definitely. The sun is shining and it’s nice and warm. The bees are buzzing and flitting from flower to flower. I’ve already put away my really thick winter jacket. The days are getting longer. Yes, spring is arriving very tentatively, but you can tell that Old Man Winter is losing ground......

  

It certainly looks like spring outside: the last patches of snow have melted away, snowdrops are blooming in the neighbor’s garden, and it’s pleasantly warm during the day. Inside, however, winter still reigns: I just finished putting up my decorations, so they’ll stay up for a few more days!

It's raining here. But I'm still happy about it, because now the dirty piles of snow are finally melting. And is the sun supposed to shine again on the weekend?

It’s raining here, too. Still, it’s pleasantly warm, and during the day I’ve even turned off the heat and left the window open part of the time. The snowdrops are already blooming in the garden and in the meadow, and everything is clean and bright. It’s also staying light out longer. I’m already feeling much more motivated, and I’m glad things are so pleasant. There is one downside, though. My dog would have loved this weather, and now this is the first spring in a long time that I’m spending without a dog.

Here, the rain overnight melted away a lot of the snow. It’s cool again right now, but the birds and nature coming back to life are already putting me in a pre-spring mood. 

In any case, it’s a wonderful feeling knowing that the blooming season, with all its splendor, is still ahead of us. Because it’s over far too quickly.

Here in the Bergisches Land, the crocuses have literally burst into bloom over the last few days, and it’s quite mild at 12 degrees. I’m especially looking forward to spring this year—it’s my favorite season. And the birds are already chirping away in the mornings as if they, too, are happy that the days are getting brighter again.
As soon as I have time, I’ll clean up the balcony and then

use it as an open-air knitting room. Greetings, Caro

It got pretty cold here over the weekend (winter came back), so everything was frozen again. So much for that spring feeling! But it’s supposed to reach 19 degrees on Thursday.
