Dress-up dolls (“Barbie dolls”) always need new clothes. You can quickly crochet them from a bit of leftover yarn, and they’re at least as beautiful as store-bought items!

Here are a few ideas for you:
Traditional Outfit for Barbie and Ken

The set includes a hat, jacket, leather trousers, traditional shirt, knee socks, and a beer stein for Ken, as well as a dirndl with an apron, traditional hat, shoulder bag, necklace, and a gingerbread heart for Barbie. You can also buy the two patterns separately, but you’ll save more than 20% when you buy the set!

The dress consists of a long-sleeved top with cut-out shoulders, a short, flared skirt with a furry trim, and crocheted panties. Barbie also wears matching ear warmers. The pattern also explains how to make the skates.

Fur jacket, fur hat, and loop scarf

The jacket is crocheted from cuddly yarn. If you’d rather not use that, you can also use regular yarn with a similar yardage.

Here you get a whole set—a sweater and sleeping bag for teddy bears and dolls measuring 35–40 cm. This clothing is great for a bedtime teddy. It will be well protected and won’t need to be washed as often. I also often call it “protective clothing.”

All pieces are easy to knit and suitable for advanced beginners.

If you prefer knitting, you might like this design. Here, too, you can combine the colors however you like. That way every dress becomes unique. In all white, it can pass as a wedding dress ;-)







Knitting pattern: Turtleneck Sweater

And as a third recommendation, there’s a winter sweater with a decorative cable and a large collar. It’s very easy to knit from just a few grams of yarn. The sweater has no bothersome seams and knits up quickly in the small clothing size.

Here’s an extremely affordable doll that your child can dress themselves! All it takes is paper, colored pencils, scissors, and a little imagination and artistic talent.

A combination of a wrap vest / wrap jacket, pants, and hat.
This gets the doll dressed up nicely for a walk through the first rays of spring sunshine.

My doll is 40 cm tall. 
The pattern includes both color versions that you see in the pictures,
as well as the version with/without sleeves.

Whether multicolored or completely solid, that depends on your stash of cotton yarn. And of course on the doll mom’s taste.
