Every soccer fan simply must have the soccer mascot Tooorsten!
Crochet him in your team’s colors or in the colors of Germany—whatever you like.

Tooorsten isn’t hard to crochet, since he’s essentially made up of hexagons and pentagons. Sewing the pieces together requires a bit of patience, but you’ll get a detailed plan showing how the individual parts fit together.
Tooorsten can be crocheted from leftover yarn. You’ll need 20 g each of black and white cotton yarn (I used Catania by Schachenmayr, LL 50 g / 125 m) and scraps in your team’s colors.

You can download the crochet pattern right here!

Crocheted bookmarks are always a hit with bookworms, especially when they’re original and match the theme of the book.
You can crochet the fire dragon using just a few bits of leftover yarn. Use the thinnest cotton yarn possible. Fantasy fans in particular will love it.
Do you have suitable leftovers at home? Then you can get started right away!
Here’s the pattern!

These little angels are a sweet small gift for any occasion, not just at Christmastime, but all year round. After all, everyone can use a guardian angel. They’re also very quick to knit from thin leftover yarn.

Crochet pattern for a granny square.

Whether for a pillow, a blanket, or as an appliqué, a granny square is quick to crochet and also the ideal crochet project for on the go.

Whether colorful in many colors or, as here, in one main color, there are many possibilities.

The pattern is explained in writing round by round and also shown as a crochet chart. I crocheted my granny square with a cotton yarn with 125 m yardage.

You can find Granny number 5 here, there are now 6 different granny squares, all of which fit together in size.

Knitting pattern
for a hat in 8 sizes.

Winter still has us firmly in its grip, so why not knit another new hat?

For the small hats, 50 grams of yarn is enough; for the large hats, you’ll need about 1.5 skeins. I used yarn with a yardage between 108 and 130 m per 50 g and size 3.5 knitting needles.

The hat is knitted with a set of double-pointed needles, and the interlaced pattern is explained in detail with pictures.

Here you’ll find the pattern for the hat, which fits head circumferences of approximately 30–55 cm.

The grow-with-me pinafore dress for toddlers – with it, you’ll have a pretty piece of clothing that fits for several years – from ages 1.5 to 5.

The little pinafore dress has no seams, and the knitted-in hearts are easy to make.

A lovely project for advanced beginners.

A classic and completely timeless piece is this tissue box cover—decorated with butterflies and hearts. It’s easy to crochet, even for advanced beginners.

With it, those ugly cardboard boxes are a thing of the past. My tip: the box also makes a great little gift for any occasion. And you can put a lot of leftover yarn to good use here.

You can always use a circular collar like this. It keeps your neck nice and warm and goes great with V-neck sweaters. All you need is a leftover ball of cotton yarn, and you can get started right away.

A great project for beginners. Please note that basic skills are required.

This bouquet blooms even in winter, because neither the cold outside nor the cool, dry air inside bothers it: The bouquet blooms just as beautifully as it does in summer and requires no care.

The flowers are made from cardstock, measure about 8 cm, and offer a great opportunity to use up leftover paper. The flowers are very easy to make and are well-suited even for beginners.

After Christmas is somehow also before Christmas, and if you know you tend to put projects off for ages, I’d like to motivate you to try your hand at a Christmas project now. Without the red nose, Rudolph can also be crocheted wonderfully as a cuddly toy or music box, making him a delightful animal companion.

   Here’s the pattern

The pattern is suitable for ambitious beginners, and I’m happy to answer any questions.

I crocheted it with a cotton yarn with a yardage of 125 m/50 g and a size 3 crochet hook. For more information, see here.

Have fun crocheting!

This bouquet makes waiting for spring a little easier. If you like lilies, these delicate paper versions will make winter seem a little warmer and shorter for you.

The lily blooms are made from cardstock. I used crepe paper to wrap the stems and for the leaves. The lilies are about 35 cm tall and easy to make.
