Knitting pattern Poncho Siria

In Sindarin, the language of the Elves in J.R.R. Tolkines world of Middle-
Earth, Siria means “flowing”. I named this Poncho that because I knitted it with “Flow” from MyBoshi, a wonderfully cozy gradient yarn.
Knotted fringes are his special highlight!
You can work this amazing Poncho in every other yarn in aran or worsted weight. Please note,
that the yardage has to be adjusted accordingly.

Needed materials:

• approx. 350 grams 12.35 oz of MyBoshi „Flow“ or other yarn in aran or worsted weight (approx. 900 meters 984 yds)
• Single Point or circular knitting needle size 7mm US 10.75
• at least 2 stitch markers
• crochet hook size 7mm US between K and L
• scissors

Techniques used:

Knit, purl, cable, horizontal ridge
In crochet: slip stitch, half double crochets.

The Poncho is constructed as a big rectangle. To finish, two sides will be crocheted together. At least fringes are knotted at the new formed edge.

The pattern runs 10 pages, it contains charts, a written pattern, schematics and a phototutorial for the horizontal rigde pattern.
Skill level easy to intermediate.
