Instructions
The same pattern applies here as for normal double face knitting - unused yarn is either in front of the work (knit stitch) or behind it (purl stitch).
- Cast on the number of stitches per color divisible by 2 plus edge stitches with both colors at the same time.
For this scarf, cast on 22 stitches with double thread (white). - Edge stitches are always knitted with color 1 and color 2 at the same time or with two balls of the light color.
- Knit the next 4 rows as follows:
1 edge stitch, * 1 knit stitch, 1 purl stitch * = 20x, 1 edge stitch
These rows are knitted with the white yarn. - 1 edge stitch, * 1 knit stitch in red, 1 purl stitch in petrol * = 20x, 1 edge stitch
- 1 edge stitch, * 1 knit stitch in petrol, 1 purl stitch in red * = 20x, 1 edge stitch
Number 4 and 5 knit ten times = work each of these two rows 5x.
Lace pattern
To make the lace pattern, place the stitches 2 knit sts, 2 purl sts.
The middle section is knitted in white on both sides. Mark the two balls of yarn accordingly so that they are not swapped.
F1 (yarn 1) and F2 (yarn 2) indicate when you use which ball of yarn.
To knit the knit stitches, slip a stitch, knit the next stitch and pull the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch.

Middle section
This is knitted in stockinette until it measures 14 cm.
Then continue knitting in mirror image.
