The pattern includes bee, butterfly, ladybug and dragonfly. There´s also the pattern for the snail. I know that many people are not big fans of snails, but I find them very cute. I had a list of ideas of what I could include, and I almost ended up with a few more than the 5 I need. When it came down to the last insect I ended up choosing the snail. A lovely giveaway for friends and relatives. It can also be used as decoration. The perfect gift for anyone that loves ladybugs! The pattern is very detailed. It comes with easy-to-follow written instructions and photo tutorial. The pattern is beginner friendly. This amigurumi design makes it a truly unique and special toy that your child will cherish for years to come.
SUPPLIES YOU NEED
Before you begin, make sure you have the following materials:
cotton yarn (e.g. Schachenmayr Catania 125m/50g) in four colors: red, beige or white, black and grey, a bit of grey. blue and dark green for the pot and flower, crochet hook 3 mm, Polyester fiberfill or any stuffing material of your choice, 2 black beads or safety eyes, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends and sewing parts together, some little black beads.
Using different materials and hook size to what is recommended may alter the final appearance of your amigurumi.

I would classify this free amigurumi crochet pattern as an advanced beginner. It is necessary to have some experience with amigurumi before creating this project.

TIPS
- Do not join rounds, work in a continuous spiral
- This pattern doesn´t include any specific stitch tutorials
- Use a stitch marker or piece of yarn to keep track of the last stitch in each round
- All stitches are worked into both loops, unless stated otherwise in the pattern
- When filling with polyester stuffing, pull apart each large chunk into many smaller chunks. This ensures an even distribution of firmness within the amigurumi
- Amigurumi can be made in any desired colors.
Seamless way of changing color when working in the round
Pick up the new color at the end of the round: inset your hook into the stitch, yarn over the new color and pull through the stitch and the loop on your hook to complete the stitch.
To make a magic ring
- Loop the thread twice around your middle finger
- Put the hook under both loops, pull the yarn under the loops and hook the thread again
- Pull the thread through the new loop. The first crochet stitch is ready!
- Repeat the number of times needed.
- Pull the inner threads to tighten the ring.
INSTRUCTIONS
Amigurumis consist of several parts which you crochet separately and then sew them together.

SHELL
The shell is made by just crocheting a long tube, stuffing it so it holds its shape but can still bend, then curling it into the spiral shape of the shell. It is held in shape by stitching through it to secure it in place.
Because the tube is long, continuously add small amounts of stuffing as you go as that will make it easier.

Roll the shell in a spiral with the beginning of the tube in the center and the open end at the end. It should hold its shape pretty well, if not add more stuffing. Once you have your spiral shape use your tail to stitch all the way through a couple of times to secure the spiral. Take the body and stitch the shell in place to secure.
