Question about yarn

I’m new here in the forum
So here’s a little bit about me
My name is Nicole, I’m 38 and I’m from Hesse. I’ve been crocheting for soooo long, and it’s still fun.
But now to my problem.
I have a pattern that calls for a type of yarn I can’t get here.
I wanted to convert it. Either I’m too dumb or I’m thinking about it wrong. I hope someone here can help me.
The yarn would be Red Heart Super Saver, 198 g, 333 m.
I’d like to find a similar yarn. How do I convert this so I can find yarn here where I live?
Divide by 2 so I get the values for 100 g? Or is that wrong?

Dear Nicole!
Your approach is exactly right. The skeins of yarn here often weigh 100g. 198g isn’t far off from that, so you simply calculate 333 ÷ 2 = 166.5m.
So you need an approximate length (LL) of 166.5 m per 100g, or 83 m for 50g.
