The colorful star gnomes are a great beginner project for Advent. You can crochet them so quickly that you can make several of them right away. At the same time, they are ideal for using up leftover yarn: For one gnome, you only need about 12 g of yarn.
Use them as pincushions, as children's toys, or as colorful decorations, not just during the Christmas season!

I can recommend this crochet pattern for beginners

A blanket in granny style. We start in the middle and get bigger with each round.

This is ideal for using up your leftover yarn.

With the pattern, which explains the design in words over 10 pages with lots of pictures, as well as a crochet chart for each row, it is also easy for beginners with a little crochet experience to crochet this blanket. You will crochet double crochet, chain stitches, and slip stitches.

These pretty ornaments aren’t just for Christmas (e.g., as tree decorations, gift tags, Advent wreath decorations, or table decor), but also all year round as little guardian angels, lucky charms, keychains, for the car, etc.

Here’s the pattern

Gift bags / little gift bags / Christmas bags, 2 sizes and 2 motifs

With these lovingly designed bags, giving gifts becomes even more beautiful. The individual little bags offer enough space to hide small surprises for your loved ones. The little bags are quick and easy to make. With the special double stitch, it is possible to crochet in rounds without any offset, creating an ideal background for embroidered motifs.

The detailed pattern includes text, step-by-step photos, a crochet chart where needed, and an embroidery template for the heart.

After we girls have now decorated our homes beautifully for Christmas, it's time to think about ourselves, too: These cute little angel wings on your ears are sure to bring on the Christmas spirit.

The earrings are quick to make—so they're still easy to crochet “last minute”—and an absolute eye-catcher.

Here’s the pattern

You’ll receive a detailed PDF pattern with numerous step-by-step photos, making it very doable even for beginners. The wings look very pretty from both sides (the back almost looks like stockinette stitch—see photo).

Even though this card might look a bit complicated, it’s actually very easy for beginners to make, because everything is explained in detail in the comprehensive, illustrated instructions.

This card is the standard folded card size of 10.5 x 21 cm and can actually be made very quickly; only the glitter liner takes a few hours to dry, so be sure to factor that into your planning.

A recommended beginner project is the granny-style baby blanket. It’s easy to make, and the pattern stays the same in every round. Great for crocheting in front of the TV or while chatting with a friend.

You can get cozy during the Christmas season and beyond with a tea light in this tea light holder.

The tea light holder is made of cardstock, measures approximately 17 x 1.8 x 15 cm, is easy to make, and is very well suited for beginners.
