I don't understand the pattern

15 sc, 3 times {8 sc, inc 1 st once}, 15 sc, 3 times {8 sc, inc 1 st once}

I don’t understand this row. Can someone tell me what it means?

Hi Isabelle, it’s not difficult — I’ll write it out for you:

23 single crochets (that’s 15 plus 8 single crochets), 2 single crochets in the same stitch,
8 single crochets, 2 single crochets in one stitch,
8 single crochets, 2 single crochets in one stitch,
23 single crochets, 2 single crochets in one stitch,
8 single crochets, 2 single crochets in one stitch,
8 single crochets, 2 single crochets in one stitch

this is how I understand it: First, you crochet 15 single crochets. Then, starting here, you repeat the following three times: crochet 8 single crochets, then double the ninth single crochet.
After that, you crochet another 15 single crochets and repeat the sequence three more times: crochet 8 single crochets as usual, then double the ninth.
