This colorful children’s jacket made from merino wool is knitted top-down raglan style. It has everything little children love: a comfortable hood and pockets where they can hide treasures.

The pattern describes size 92 - 104. The jacket will fit for a while as the child grows.

Difficulty level: recommended for advanced knitters.

This women’s cardigan made from merino wool was knitted with raglan from the bottom. It is comfortable, fits close to the body to flatter the figure, and also has good stretch. This means it fits sizes 38–42 with the measurements described.

There are hardly any seams; the pockets were knitted in except for one side, so they have a sturdy hold.

The pattern was written in a print-friendly format. Recommended for advanced knitters.

Of course, there is also a raglan sweater for teddy bears and dolls measuring 25–30 cm. This one was knitted as a raglan from the bottom up. It was designed for my Fynn and fits him perfectly.

A lovely project for beginners, too. Basic skills should be in place.

This beautiful Ice Princess coat is knitted as a top-down raglan. We’ll knit it in one piece, starting from the hood down to the hem. We’ll use a circular needle to knit only knit stitches and purl stitches—even beginners can handle this.

Doll mums will be thrilled ;-) You’ll find all further information and the pattern by clicking on the blue text.

I hope you have lots of fun with this project—Yours, Ina

For the teens and adults among you, I also have something lovely when it comes to top-down raglan: a poncho . It’s quick to knit with thick yarn and a large needle. We knit from the turtleneck down toward the hem. Where the increases (i.e., the raglan stitches) are, we knit a cable as a decorative element. This is a simple embellishment for this otherwise rustic-looking poncho. The wide hem is also specially designed to create a beautiful focal point at the bottom.

You’ll find all further information, including the pattern, by clicking on the blue text.

I hope you enjoy this project—Yours, Ina

P.S. You can make the hat if you want, but you don’t have to :-) I just happened to have some yarn left over for it.

RVO Hishi features a lace pattern on the outer sides of the sleeves and around the hem.

Hishi is knitted from top to bottom without seams and can therefore be easily adjusted to any desired size.

The model shown is 40 cm long and 52 cm wide.
The sleeves are 45 cm long

For this, you'll need

  • 185 g of 4-ply yarn (50% cotton, 50% acrylic)
  • Circular needles, sizes 3–4
  • Set of double-pointed needles, sizes 2–3 and 3–4

The two-page PDF file is suitable for advanced knitters .
