Help!!!!

I signed up to crochet a comfort blanket, and now I’m already stuck on round 3. 
So, I have 12 stitches, and now I’m supposed to: *3 dc tog in 1 st, 2 sc in the next st*; repeat from * to * continuously (18)...
But how am I supposed to turn 12 stitches into 18 if I’m crocheting three together... 
If only I’d kept my mouth shut...

Hi Bibine,

What’s meant is crocheting 3 double crochets together into the first stitch.
You start as you would with a normal double crochet, but pull the yarn through only two loops.
The last two loops remain on the hook.
Then do the same thing again. (Double crochet, but pull the yarn through only two loops.)
Now you have three loops left on the hook.
Then the third double crochet. First, pull the yarn through two loops, then—IMPORTANT—pull it through all (4) loops on the hook.
Now there’s only one loop left, as if you’d crocheted just one double crochet into that stitch. ;-)
