I need help! What’s this knitting pattern called?

It’s hard for me to tell, but it looks like a seed stitch pattern. A closer, detailed photo would be helpful.

I agree with Monika. It’s very hard to see, though.
But I also think it’s seed stitch.

Row 1: 1 knit stitch, 1 purl stitch
Row 2: same as Row 1, but offset the pattern
(knit over the purl stitch and purl over the knit stitch
)

Why don’t you just give it a try?

well, to me it looks like a honeycomb pattern or a staggered check pattern; the shawl or scarf seems to be knitted from very fine yarn. Unfortunately, it’s really hard to make out because of the white color.
Try Googling “honeycomb pattern” and look at the images—maybe that’s the pattern you’re looking for.
