With the Lina children’s hat and matching scarf, kids can head out safely, since a reflective thread is knitted into the hat round by round, which shines brightly when light is shone on the hat. For both projects together, you’ll need 200g of EMS (8-ply sock yarn).

Admittedly, you can’t cut out this window decoration at the very last minute, but you can definitely do it on the evening before Halloween. Still, it’s better not to put it off—start crafting soon.

The window decoration measures approximately 54 x 34.7 cm, is cut out of construction paper, and backed with yellow translucent paper. Since the design has a lot of intricate details, you should already be comfortable using a scalpel or craft knife—then you’ll be able to recreate it quickly and easily.

Still looking for a spooky Halloween decoration? How about this:

This Halloween lantern is quick to crochet and very versatile. Simply crochet around an empty jam jar using black cotton yarn. If you’re invited to a Halloween party, you can fill it with sweets and give it as a gift. Afterward, the jar can serve as a cool lantern with an LED candle inside.

Erich and his friends are great as a weekend project.

You can crochet them all and combine them into a mobile, hang them individually on a lamp / curtain rod or wherever you like, or decorate your flower pots with them using a wooden stick.

Maybe you even have a completely different idea....

The pattern describes the basic body, which applies to all versions, as well as different accessory variations.

You probably have quite a few leftover yarn scraps at home that you can use to crochet a ghost just the way you want it.

You can find the pattern and more detailed information about the materials needed here:

If you have a lot of leftover yarn, these little gift bags are a great option...

Besides using them as gift wrapping, you can also crochet a soap mitt from them, for example, or use them as appliqués...

If you want to use up lots of leftovers, you can also make an Advent calendar from them; you can definitely still finish it on time this year.

If you’re not (yet) in the mood for Halloween or Christmas this weekend, how about a pretty heart?

It’s quick to crochet and looks charming on a cabinet knob or door handle.

You can also use it as a gift tag...

Cowl scarves are still right on trend this fall/winter season.
This neckwarmer can be worn either elegantly or casually - and...

The relief pattern in a diamond style adds movement and sophistication.
It looks impressively complex - yet it is very simple.

These four cheerful pumpkin faces on your window will help you greet the spooky Halloween season with a smile.

They are made of cardstock and translucent paper, are about 20 x 18 cm in size, and are quick and easy for beginners to make too.
