Dear users, dear authors,
how are you today?
Did you have a nice weekend?
Were you able to relax?
How’s the weather?
What’s for lunch?
Who’s cooking vegan, vegetarian, or meals with fish and meat?

What crafting goals and weekly plans do you want to tackle this week?

Hello,

I’m feeling kind of strange somehow. I think I’m coming down with a cold.

Saturday was great. Wonderful weather, pleasantly warm, and a
barbecue evening with some really lovely friends.
Yesterday I lay on the couch all day because I
wasn’t feeling so well already.

The sun is shining here and it’s pleasantly warm.

I had fruit for lunch. Tonight we’re having pumpkin soup.

I finished my Baby Emmi on Saturday and now I’m
a world champion at knotting in hair ;-) I made the doll with arm and
leg joints. I was dripping with sweat afterwards, but it
was worth it.
I’ll post photos tonight or tomorrow.

In the evening I started on my poncho. But I’m also
going to start a vest for my little daughter this week as well.
She keeps asking when I’m going to start her vest.

So my goal for this week is to keep working on the poncho and
start the vest.

I still have to make 3 more Baby Emmis by Christmas. Not to
mention the other Christmas gifts that I still want to
crochet.

Best, Heike

Things are still kind of at a standstill for me because of my family situation. Yesterday, we had a long, leisurely breakfast with our friends for the first time in a long while—it did us a world of good.

The weather is perfect today in the Bergisches Land. A bright blue sky and pleasant sunshine. I can’t actually feel it at my workplace, but it just looks beautiful and lifts my spirits.

Wishing you all a pleasant afternoon too.
Best regards, Caro

Since I had to work again yesterday—and Sundays are always very quiet—I took the opportunity to tape together and cut out two sewing patterns in my son’s size. :D I hope I’ll get around to making them this week, or by the weekend at the latest.

I also definitely want to sew at least one more neck pillow for my son this week so I can get mine back. ^^ He actually snagged it from me.

Since we’re still on break this week here in Saarland, I’m trying to do some activities or something similar with him in the mornings. That’s why we always decide what to eat on the fly.

I wish you all a wonderful and sunny afternoon.

Best regards
Sandra

I drove my husband to the airport at noon today; he’s on a business trip until Thursday.

Then I did a little housework. I crocheted a small commission for a friend, and tonight we’re having leftover pasta.
So, it’s been a very relaxed day

Oh my gosh, she’s so cute. But her hair looks like a lot of work.

@arni

I am now the uncrowned queen of hair knotting.

It was a huge amount of work.

And you want to make three more of those? I think they’d only get a hat from me :-)

Yes. We’re still making three more of those.

But your suggestion is worth considering.

Nooo! Please give the others hair just as lovely, too! It’s definitely worth the effort, because your Emmi is so cute! I’m also awarding you the title of “Hair-Knotting Empress with a Little Crown”!

I’ve set myself a mammoth challenge, at least for me. I saw a gorgeous knitted coat (Sylvi) and bought the English pattern. However, my “knitting English” is practically nonexistent, so first I’ll spend three years translating it, then find the right yarn, and finally knit this coat... it should be ready in five years *laughs*
But as we all know, you never stop learning, and you should take on challenges.

You'll see—afterwards, your knitting English will be perfect!;

ruthk, It’s not perfect, but the main thing is that it’s understandable! I’m looking forward to it, though

Today I’m having fries from the air fryer.

Because of my cape, I’m facing a dilemma: Should I finish knitting the pattern—there are still a few rows left—or should I wrap it up and use the small amount of leftover yarn to add a few more rows in seed stitch?
Just like at the neckline.

Mel, I hope you have fun with the coat when you’re ready to start. I’m sure someone here can help you if you get stuck.

I’m looking forward to your photo in a few years.

Dear Nadeleule, we’re in the same boat: I got carried away and bought a book of patterns by Arne and Carlos—in English! I also still have English patterns for knitted kitties, but I’ve never dared to try them because not only are my knitting skills rather poor, but my English in general is pretty lacking too! I’ll start by trying my hand at smaller projects, though! Anyway: Good luck with the coat (I’ve set the jacket pattern aside for now…)
