Have a great weekend: What are your plans?

Dear users, dear authors,
the week with the holiday is over.
What are your plans?
Have fun.

Knitting and studying, studying and knitting, with a little housework in between—the usual, really. Hopefully the weather stays nice, because then at least I can sit outside.

Anton and I just popped over to the zoo for a bit (I have an annual pass). Tonight I’m meeting up with two friends at a Greek restaurant (without the kids), which means we’ll be showing off our kids (they’re almost the same age) and gossiping about the men :-)

Tomorrow evening a friend is coming over, and Sunday will be a relaxing day. The weather is really nice today. Hopefully it stays that way

I have the afternoon off today—I’ve got everything else taken care of. We might head into town to do some shopping later when we pick up our daughter from practice; otherwise, we’ll just do it tomorrow. My only task today: I have to come up with a lunch plan for next week. That’s not so easy with four different tastes! Later, I’ll do a little knitting, and we’ll decide on the fly what Sunday brings.

We just got back today from a short getaway at a nearby campground. I finally got a chance to do some crocheting and go for walks.

Unfortunately, I had such a bad fall on my bike (while swerving from a standstill) that I bruised my tailbone (it hurts when I sit, anyway). So that was the end of biking for me, unfortunately. Luckily, walking and lying down are no problem at all.

A guardian angel must have had a hand in that fall, because my husband noticed afterward that the rear wheel had a crack and could easily have caused a blowout. Since we would have been cycling right next to a road, that could have ended very badly.

Now I just have to be a little patient until my bruised tailbone heals. Until then, at least cycling is off the table. Too bad!

Monika: So it really was a blessing in disguise. Get well soon. That’s totally awful and hurts like crazy.

My friend is out right now, so I’m going to clean up the kitchen and then keep crocheting on the baby blanket.

Our weekend has been pretty busy so far... we painted the bathroom. We still need to add the finishing touches... maybe we’ll do that tomorrow...

Thanks, Sandra! It only hurts when I’m sitting if there’s a jolt or vibration (which is why I’m not biking right now). Otherwise, thankfully, everything’s fine. I heal well—it’ll be okay.

A different kind of Sunday treat... delicious, oven-warm scones with clotted cream and homemade strawberry jam. My sweetheart worked so hard—he really deserved this....



I still have lots of ideas, but right now I’m using up leftover yarn to make clothes for the dolls. Christmas always seems to come so suddenly :-) and my grandchild loves dressing her dolls in new outfits again and again.
