Shopping Queen: Have you bought any yarn today?

Dear users, dear authors,
you know how it works: If you want to become Shopping Queen, you have to put in the effort—which means buying yarn regularly. Buy lots of yarn. Build up a colorful stash. :-)

Who’s already bought yarn today—or at least this week?
Let me know.

Yesterday I “had” a yarn cake bought for me. My husband bought it for me. Does that count?

I haven’t bought any, but my Bobbel shipment finally arrived today (which I already counted toward last month’s total :))
Lots and lots of mini Bobbels :)

Not today, but yesterday. I needed something that was a better color match for my prototype, which I made from scraps.

And here’s the kicker:
I’d put the yarn, the prototype, and a few other experimental pieces (I always show them to my yarn dealer; we’ve known each other for a long time and she gives honest feedback) into my fabric bag, tied it shut, and put it on top of my basket.
I left her place, went to the bakery, and then walked briskly to the car because my parking time had already run out.

When I got home that evening, I noticed my yarn bag was missing. “It must be in the car,” I thought. My husband had gone off with it. He came back late, looked for it, nothing.
I messaged Sandra and asked her to check at the bakery. She went there during her lunch break with the dog, asked at the bakery, looked in the trash cans ... and in the very last stretch she actually found my bag. Still neatly tied shut at the side of the road, very damp from the rain during the night.

But yippee, it’s back! My husband is on his way right now to pick it up from Sandra, and I’m glad that the 30 euros’ worth of yarn, the prototype, and my 3 experiments weren’t lost after all. Well, you’ve got to have a Sandra *grin*

Greetings, Caro

So those skeins should actually count twice... lol...

Yes, that counts twice.
That’s enough for the title of Shopping Queen and the title of Lucky Duck, which I just invented for you. Congratulations :-)

Oops... oooh, thank you so much!
Now I'm surprised.  I've never taken part in anything like this before, yay
I just checked: it's 10 balls of Catania. They're still sitting by the window, even though they're dry by now.
Well then... coffee for everyone and good morning
Regards, Caro

I bought four skeins of merino wool yesterday. It’s going to be a little vest for the little one (I’m taking the knitting project with me on my trip!). Unfortunately, I couldn’t find anything suitable in my stash in sufficient quantities… For my little guardian angel, I was missing the color for the head, which meant one more skein of cotton yarn. So much for my diet this month.

Today I scored the bargain of a lifetime... an old Xenos store near us is apparently closing for good now; it had already been kind of a “clearance outlet...” for a while - now about half the shelves were already empty and everything was 70% off. The thing I actually wanted (mason jars...) was gone, but there was still a little yarn... 100% wool, hand wash only. €0.44 per ball - that should felt nicely... at least I hope so. How much is it? Honestly, I didn’t count it, just packed it up....

Since I want to make a patchwork blanket for my husband but don’t have any matching leftover yarn left, I “had” to buy some leftover yarn from someone else...
At first he grumbled, but when he felt the yarn (baby alpaca and merino), he was really impressed by how soft it is... The blanket will be nice and colorful, but made only from soft yarn for 4 mm needles.

Here’s the yarn and the yarn cake I bought recently
