Dear users, dear authors,
how are you all doing on this Busy Tuesday?
What are the little helpers up to?
Let me know.

Tonight, the scrap blanket will finally be finished—YAY! All that’s left is the second row of the border.

And I’ve been thinking the whole time about which UFO I’ll finish next. Or whether I should work on a new pattern instead. And then there’s a yarn cake sitting all alone in the box, waiting for its moment to shine.
Oh, this decision is really tough!

Today I crocheted 2 rows (340 stitches) for my soul warmer.

Tonight I have to do laundry first—I’ve been putting it off for
days.
So I’ll have to see if and how much more crocheting I can get done today.

I crocheted a massage strap today.
My blanket has grown a bit, too—it’s a WIP, and I’m already halfway done. I’m not sure yet if I’ll finish it this month, though.

Today I’m working on Grandpa Werner’s fingers and toes so I can keep moving forward and finish him in time for his 70th birthday.
A bottle cover is waiting for the breasts and bikini top.
Tonight while watching TV, I’ll be working on the pot holder pieces. I don’t need to look too closely at those.

My little craft elves have played hooky again: We drove home from the Engadin today. This morning we went out briefly to look for marmots, but they were hard to find—our grandson managed to spot just one! But the weather was wonderful!

My mother-in-law looked after Anton for a few hours today, so I was able to nurse my cold. A bath, some time on the sofa, and crocheting. The groom’s individual pieces are finished, and the bride’s body is too. I’ll sew them together at the very end. Both will be personalized (glasses, mustache, etc.).
But since I still don’t know whether we’ll actually need the gift (we had originally planned to join forces with the neighbors, but they may let us down), I’m waiting until the very end and then I’ll sew them together.

I also still need to think about the rest of it.

I knitted five rows last night, and we went to bed early because I had such a bad headache. I woke up with it again this morning. Later, I have to go to the hair salon—I’m a little nervous since I’ve never been there before, but I hope it goes well. My regular hairdresser really messed up my haircut last time, and it took months before my hair was back to a halfway decent length. We’ll see.....
Other than that, I’ve got a basket of laundry to tackle today, vocabulary practice this afternoon, and tonight the knitting needles are calling again......

Mel,
get well soon—learning vocabulary with a headache isn’t much fun either.
Good luck at the hairdresser’s. I’m going there tomorrow.

Thanks, Marion!
I only have to quiz someone on the vocabulary, but it’s also helping me brush up on my French.
I hope my head will be feeling better by then.

Wishing the sick a speedy recovery!

Mis-cut hair is really awful. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you that it goes better now.

Best, Marlies

Mel: Get well soon, and good luck at the hair salon!

Last night I finally got around to starting the hat for my grandma, using wonderfully soft merino wool :)

I actually never use animal wool, since I tried merino once before and it was so itchy... But I’m sooo thrilled with how soft this wool is! This morning I ran straight over to the hat I’d started, just to give it a little squeeze :D
I’m going to buy some for myself, too, and make myself a hat :)

Well, the headache pill helped, and everything went well at the hairdresser’s too (by chance, I know the hairdresser privately, but I didn’t know she worked there)

Tina, I also still have  4 skeins of cozy merino wool here, and often I just reach into the yarn bag to pet it. My husband is so sweet and is bringing me a beautiful gradient yarn cake later, the one I had wished for, and then I’ll be spoiled for choice about what comes next after the blanket: working up the yarn cake or the merino wool... I think I’ll let the outside temperatures decide.
