Whether as finger puppets or decorations—these little ghosts are definitely a must-have for Halloween!

One is a friendly, funny nighttime ghost; the other is a spooky little fellow carrying his head under his arm. They’re both about 11 cm tall.
You can crochet them in no time using just a few pieces of leftover yarn. I used Catania by Schachenmayr (LL 125m/50g) and a 2.5 mm crochet hook. If you want them a little bigger, you can crochet them with thicker yarn and a corresponding hook.

You can find the pattern here!

Bats are an absolute must for Halloween!

For these, you only need some black cotton, a little stuffing, and an LED string light. Then the eyes will glow nicely spooky. This string light looks especially eerie in the window or in a dark corner of the room. How many bats you crochet depends on the length of your string light. In any case, they’re quick to make. You can also use them for a mobile made of several bats:

After stocking up on enough candy on Halloween evening, you can sit together cozily in the semi-darkness and read ghost stories aloud.
Of course, the right bookmark is a must. You can quickly crochet this little ghost the evening before from a leftover bit of thin cotton. It is super easy to crochet, so it’s also great for complete beginners. It also makes a nice little gift to bring to a Halloween party.

Decorating for Halloween?
Oh yes, absolutely! It’s just so much fun!

How about Gernot, for example?
At my place, there are always a few bats fluttering around in the windows at this time of year, but sometimes they also hang from hanging baskets or lamps...
(The patterns for the leaves are not included)

Or do you like it really nice and big and eye-catching, like Karl-Theodor?
He’s a great size for hanging out on your front door..
At my place, though, he always haunts the living room; he doesn’t like being alone very much...
(The patterns for the pumpkins are not included)

Or maybe you’d prefer Friedolin?
He can either decorate the breakfast table as an egg cozy or, with an LED tealight in his belly, provide cozy lighting in the evening.

He’s quick to crochet and also great for using up leftover yarn.

Even if you don’t usually enjoy getting spooked - on Halloween, you can make an exception! With this design, you can decorate your window in a delightfully spooky way.

The window decoration measures approx. 54 x 34.7 cm, is cut out of construction paper, and backed with yellow tracing paper. Aside from being comfortable using a scalpel or craft knife, you don’t need any special prior knowledge for this.

Even if you don’t want to be scared at all, you can decorate your home for Halloween – these cheerful pumpkins are perfect for that!

The window pictures are made from photo cardstock and transparent paper, each about 20 x 18 cm in size, and are also very easy for beginners to make.
