Japanese knitting patterns
are very tempting, but when we find them in books or on the internet,
they are often not translated.
That’s why, as a start, I have created a small pattern here in a
knitting chart that is easy to read.
Head circumference approx. 42–44 cm

40 g white cotton yarn, needle size 3.0
20 g gray cotton yarn, needle size 3.0

My pattern for a warm scarf includes a new stitch pattern.



The pattern spans 20 rows, and thanks to the increases at the beginning of the scarf, you can adjust the width to suit your preferences.

Basic knowledge of knit and purl stitches, knitting stitches together, and yarn overs is required.

In the 9-page pattern, the stitch pattern is shown in a knitting chart, and each row is also written out in full.

Scarf Pattern

Wrap-style jacket and hat with decorative cable

I knitted a wrap-style jacket and a matching hat for my grandson on the way using soft, warm, temperature-regulating merino wool. The decorative cable along the edge catches the eye and complements the simple garter stitch pattern used for the rest of the jacket. If you’d like, you can crochet a colored border around all the outer edges.

The jacket fits a newborn and, thanks to its cut, will grow with the baby until about 6 months of age. You’ll find more information by clicking on the title.

The knitting pattern is also suitable for beginners, as I explain and demonstrate everything—especially the cable—in detail.

Now, during the in-between season, knitted beanies are welcome again.

With a little experience in knitting lace patterns, this beanie is very easy to recreate. The pattern is explained in writing row by row, and there is also a knitting chart.

Knit socks without a heel. Now available in children’s sizes too!
If you’ve had trouble knitting the heel before and therefore haven’t dared to try knitting socks, this pattern is a great alternative.
The socks fit perfectly, and the troublesome heel cap is no longer needed.
All you need is 4-ply sock yarn and a set of double-pointed needles size 2.5 or 3 (depending on size).
