I crocheted just under 400 stitches. That was the rest of the crochet top. The rest is sewing.
We’ll see—maybe my blanket will grow a little more today.
I’m curious to see if I’ll even get around to crocheting today.
Yesterday evening, we spontaneously went to the Wendener fair, so crocheting was completely off the table. But instead, I got lots of great new flower bulbs that I can plant in the garden this fall.
In any case, I’ll definitely keep harvesting and processing apples in a bit.
I haven’t gotten anything done today, but yesterday I did about 2,000 stitches.
For the bag I’m working on, I have to crochet single crochets in the round right now... single crochet after single crochet after single crochet.... A total of just under 5,000 stitches.
I loooove it... (And yes, what is irony? :))
Today I knitted 864 stitches and knitted back 618 (do those count too?). Now I still have to knit back 30 more in this row and then another 648.... but not today.... crocheting is soooo much easier....
I crocheted a little horse today, and that was over 4,000 stitches
.
Mel, if I’ve got that many rows wrong, I usually unravel most of them, put the stitches back on the needle, and then just reknit the last row or maybe two.
Marion, I usually do that too, but with this lattice pattern, there are crossovers every other row, and that really throws me off. My “lifeline” is 20 rows down because I forgot to set up a new one, and I’d really rather not rip it all the way back down to there. So I’m playing it safe and knitting back.
Well, since I’ve actually lost quite a few stitches, I unraveled my work all the way back to the lifeline today and have now reknit 2(!) rows. That really hurts. From now on, I won’t forget the lifeline! The blanket will definitely be finished by fall (2020).....
Marion, this is always really helpful, especially with such large projects. I can really recommend it to everyone. It’ll still take a while for the blanket to be finished, but that’s okay—I don’t have any other options right now anyway. So I’ll just keep at it.
