I’m so worn out. My parents were here today and kept Anton entertained. And I cleaned. Tomorrow we have our first baby class with different musical instruments and singing songs. I’m curious to see how it goes.
Sandra, the baby class is sure to be great. What a great idea!
Here in southeastern Bavaria, it’s unfortunately still over 30 degrees until Friday. We’re taking advantage of that every day to have breakfast in the garden. It’s lovely. It won’t be long now, and then we’ll be able to do more again.
Here in Vienna, it’s already 22 degrees—it’s supposed to get up to 34 degrees—sweat, groan—and the office doesn’t have air conditioning. So I’ll just have to tough it out. Luckily, I can leave at lunchtime if there isn’t too much to do. Over the weekend, I mostly did some crocheting.
I’m using short breaks between watering, harvesting, and processing to take some relaxing time in the shade doing a little
handicrafts. Anything too big would feel too warm against my skin right now… and
Christmas always seems to come so suddenly
I’m taking advantage of our daughter’s absence to do a deep clean of the children’s room. My husband had to go back to work today, so it works out quite well. Meanwhile, I’ve unraveled my summer top again and am now making it with a split back, because it felt really tight there after washing.
The weather here is partly cloudy but dry, with a temperature of 26 degrees. Thankfully, the extreme heat is no longer with us.
We’re back home. The class was great. There are 8 moms with kids aged 7–18 months. When the instructor played the recorder, Anton was totally fascinated. He preferred to suck on the claves, though. :-)
Now he’s completely exhausted and asleep, and I’m crocheting. :-)
It’s way too hot for me again. Last week I started an alpaca scarf, hoping it would get cooler. Guess that didn’t work out. Now it’s sitting in the corner, and just looking at it makes me hot.
It’s still hot here, and tomorrow we’re heading to the Karlsruhe area, where it’s supposed to be over 30 degrees again! Since today’s schedule includes volleyball, English class, packing, ironing, and tidying up the house, I won’t get much crocheting done—and unfortunately, not much in the next few days either—but yarn and hook are packed!
