Weekend Plans: Do you have anything fun planned?

Dear users, dear authors,
the week is over.
What are your plans for the weekend?

Since the weather’s going to be fantastic tomorrow, we’ll be grilling some vegetables again. I’m really looking forward to it.
It’s actually been too hot for that even in the evenings over the last few days.

We’re having a barbecue tomorrow too, and I’m really looking forward to it :)
But it won’t just be vegetables.
There will be 8 of us in total, 6 of whom are enthusiastic meat-eaters.
...But I can already see it coming: they’ll all snatch up my grilling cheese and vegetables.
That’s always how it is, and in the end I have to eat a steak to get full ;) 

Tomorrow morning we’re taking our daughter to the bus—she’s heading to Ameland for two weeks. Then I still need to tidy up the basement, and after that I’m going to dive right into my crochet project. I had this idea yesterday while I was knitting, and now I’m really excited to bring it to life....

Well, school is starting for us. My youngest is already super excited. In eastern Germany, they celebrate it in a big way, right? ????

I’m enjoying the cooler weather—finally, temperatures under 30°!!!!
Today I’m going to do some housework and cook ahead, since it’s my turn to cook for Family Day. We’re having lasagna—it’s great to make ahead of time. In the evening, we’ll head to our favorite Greek restaurant, just like every Saturday—by bike, if the weather permits.

Tomorrow is our Sunday family day; otherwise, we’ll just be relaxing :-)

Here in Vienna, it’s cooled off nicely and it’s even rained a bit. I’m crocheting away at a rapid pace, while also taking care of the housework and doing the laundry. In the evening, it’s time to cook and take the dog for a really long walk; tomorrow, I’ll relax and crochet. Maybe I’ll also visit my parents in the countryside.

Today we went hiking—a really beautiful hike that I’d already done with our daughter and our two grandchildren. Unfortunately, the weather gods didn’t study the forecast closely enough and didn’t realize that sunshine and just a few clouds in a blue sky were actually in the cards. So we didn’t get to see that magnificent panorama: the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau kept getting shrouded in a hooded cloud poncho! It was still lovely, though, and my legs are definitely tired!

We went on a little ride this morning on my husband’s new motorcycle. It was just wonderful—sunny, not too hot, not too cold. Awesome. I tried out my new helmet right away, and everything fits perfectly.
It felt a little strange at first. The last time I sat on the back of a motorcycle was probably 30 years ago, but it was so much fun. We’ll do it again as soon as possible, before it gets colder again and winter sets in.
Just want to enjoy it while we can.

Not exactly fun—I’m trying to wade through my tax return.
It’s my first time doing this.
Unfortunately, I can’t afford a tax advisor.

Other than that, it’s baking time.
The bread’s done, and later I’ll make some very simple shortbread cookies.
