Since I don’t have a cat, I’m sending you a picture of my low-maintenance tomcat instead.

Our two are even too lazy to catch flies.

This is my Cookie, after she was allowed to go outside alone for the very first time yesterday (she was very chatty and excited at first—it did her good! But then she had to rest):


And this is my Lily, after she was outside on her own for the first time (the little rascal snuck out)—she must have gotten into a fight:

 
Both cats are already 8 years old and have been allowed to go outside on their own since this year.
They love it, and they’ve really blossomed ever since :)

I had never heard of World Cat Day before; it’s lovely to see so many different four-legged friends here :-)

Neelix the fighter / called Baby because he has such a voice


Mopsi the laid-back one / he showed up at our place 3 years ago


Stjerne the cuddle grump / unfortunately I had to have him put to sleep 3 weeks ago :-(



So today everyone gets an extra portion of treats :-)

Petra, I’m so sorry that you lost your cat. It’s very hard to lose a beloved pet.
But I still wish everyone a happy World Cat Day!!!

My Cookie is outside alone again right now; we’re not at home.
That always makes me really nervous, and all day I keep picturing myself coming home and finding her lying in the street after being run over.
But that’s actually nonsense, because we live somewhere so quiet that maybe 2 cars pass through per hour, and slowly at that, because children are always playing there. 



Thanks, Marion—World Cat Day would have passed me by too!
The tabby on the left is our Minka; on the right is our neighbor’s cat, Max, who disappeared from one day to the next about a year ago (he was already a senior).

Unfortunately, I don’t have another one on my phone right now with all of them in it ;-)
