Hi everyone
So here’s my highly subjective trend observation:
In:
- Ice cream and ice cubes
- Fans and air conditioners
- T-shirts with short sleeves or rolled-up sleeves, or pants with rolled-up legs and so on, because ankles are in—or just shorts altogether
- Colorful scarves in your hair, for tying it back and such, and because it just looks chic; I think it goes well with the current boho style
- Airy, flowy dresses; anything tight as a sausage casing is definitely out
- And of course light summer salads, but you have to be careful with the dressing—you don’t want to smother an actually low-calorie leafy salad in loads of creamy dressing or something like that
Out
- Fur coats, but those are actually always out, not just at 36 degrees
Tell me, do you also find holding the yarn and your craft project while doing DIY uncomfortable in these temperatures?
Yarn isn’t exactly known for its cooling effect.
Oh, I forgot again:
it’s strawberry season, but you have to eat them quickly or they’ll go bad
and it’s cherry season too, and something very important for DIY:
don’t throw away the cherry pits, save them so you can make a cherry stone pillow out of them :)
That’s sure to be a nice thing for anyone who likes
cherry stone pillows. Cherry stone pillows can be used as a kind of cold compress or as a heat compress; they’re good for stress, tension, etc.
I checked the shop, and there are lots of patterns with berries and cherries and all sorts of things, not just strawberries to crochet, but also raspberries, blackberries, etc.
There are also appliqué patterns and more. And of course, we also have patterns for cherry stone pillows in the shop. :)
Well then, have fun crocheting, knitting, sewing, and all kinds of needlework in general!
It’s supposed to be hot again today! So I’m definitely going to make myself a strawberry smoothie with ice cubes :-)
and stay away from fur coats and wool :D
Since I don’t have any chocolate, I’ll just have to stick to the “crocheting to curb cravings” method.

Okay, so there’s a trend in this thread that doesn’t involve food for a change—I’ve dug up another one for you.
Are you curious yet?
Ta-da, drumroll ;)
White T-shirts are totally in these days—or rather, this season.
This might not exactly be the highlight of a crafting forum, though—even so, you can always sew the white T-shirts yourself. But I’ve been keeping an eye on this trend. White T-shirts are supposedly versatile enough to pair with anything—skirts, pants, and everything else.
I mean, not all white T-shirts are the same; some have a print on the front, a small, subtle design, or lettering. You can also vary the sleeves and neckline, and of course, everyone is free to decide for themselves how tight or loose they want them to be. If you want to be fashionable, just tuck the front corner of the shirt into your pants or skirt—it’s the trend right now, even if I don’t quite get why that is. Anyway.
I actually had a link about it, but it’s buried somewhere in my massive collection of links.
Do you guys wear white T-shirts, or do you tend to avoid them altogether? Is that your thing, or do you steer clear of them?
