The download also includes an Excel spreadsheet for converting your individual gauge . This requires a spreadsheet program, such as Excel or LibreOffice. The latter is available for free download online.

The PDF pattern is illustrated but does not serve as a basic knitting course (a link to basic knitting techniques is included). Difficulty level: medium / easy for experienced knitters.

The following knitting techniques are used:
casting on, purl stitch and knit stitch, yarn over, knit stitches
together, slip, slip, knit (explained),
increasing from the strand between stitches, bind off.


For sizes S/M/L, you’ll need :
300 g of cotton (blend) ribbon yarn, 50 g – 90 m; a row counter is helpful. Used here: size 5.0 knitting needles.

This is Biene with her twin sister Bea – two real bathing beauties!



They are a full 24 cm tall; when sitting, they measure 15 cm. Since she can’t swim very well, Biene carries a swim ring with her.

Summer Vibes for the Kitchen and Bathroom

The flip-flops are crocheted using creative bubble yarn from rico design. However, you can just as easily use an alternative dish sponge yarn or cotton yarn. The original yarn has great cleaning properties, and sponges made from it can be used for exfoliating and washing dishes.

The flip-flops are quick to crochet; the pattern includes text-based step-by-step details and is supplemented by a few photos.
