My three-week vacation is over, and I’m currently trying to get the
chaos on my desk under control.
The weekend was great. Yesterday, a very dear friend came over
and sewed me a skirt, and we had some delicious raclette.
The weather is really great. Later, I’m going to sit out in the garden
and do some crocheting. After all, I still have 14 unicorn keychains
to crochet.
The final trip to the vet is ahead of me tomorrow, and it’s really weighing on me. Even though I know it’s the right decision, I’m not coping with it well at all.
Dear Petra,
I can totally relate. When I had to take my budgie to the vet back then, it almost broke my heart. But I couldn’t stand to see him suffer anymore.
I consoled myself with the thought that he could be free again ...
It’s completely understandable that you’re sad, and that’s okay. A new cat will find its way to you.
Dear Petra, I think your Sternje can look back on a long and happy cat’s life under your loving care. It’s always hard to let a beloved pet go, but it’s for the best. I’ll be thinking of you especially tomorrow. Sending you a big hug.
Petra, I’m so sorry that your cat is being put to sleep.
But it will surely be a relief for him when he no longer has to suffer.
He’ll always remain in your memories.
Dear Petra, I’ll be thinking of you tomorrow, too! Letting go of a family member who’s been with us for so many years is just so painful, even if it means a release for the animal.
Dear Petra, I hope you’ve managed to get through this difficult ordeal “okay.” A few years ago, we had to put our Benny to sleep. For him, it was a release, but for us, it was no consolation. Eventually, it gets easier—even if you’ll never forget your beloved pet.
I’m sending you a virtual hug and wishing you and your family lots of strength.
I would like to thank you for your kind, encouraging words.
Right now it still hurts quite a lot, but it was the right decision to let tomcat Stjerne take his final journey. I don’t think there is ever a right time to say goodbye.
But the memories remain, so my shop name will stay as it is too; I had actually wanted to change it.
@Petra,
wherever your cat may be right now, hopefully he’s doing better there.
Since you’ve carved out a good (sales) niche for yourself with the maritime items, it’s a good idea to keep your shop name and stick with it—or upload more maritime patterns. Precisely because you now have a niche, you shouldn’t change what makes your shop recognizable. You’re onto something worthwhile here.
