Oh boy, I still have quite a few things planned :)
So far, it looks like this:
- First of all, I want to finish my current shawl. It’ll be done by the weekend at the latest.
- A loop scarf for myself
- A Möbius cowl
- a little bear
- my motif blanket, which I keep working on for 2–3 days at a time until I lose interest
- another loop scarf, for which I’ve already chosen the pattern
I can’t think of anything else right now, but I’m sure there’s more on my list :)
First of all, finish all my UFOs. Then a pair of grandparents for Christmas for my parents, and socks for my son and brother, also for Christmas. In between, all sorts of little things will come up.
I’m going to try my hand at a Tunisian crochet garment. Since I usually crochet decorative items, this is a real challenge.
Now I’m still on the hunt for a suitable pattern and the right yarn :-)
First, I’ll finish my two color projects so I can decide on one of them (a baby dress or a women’s tunic).
This year, I definitely still have my sights set on:
- 3 pairs of felted slippers
- a baby sleeping bag
- a pair of leggings for my granddaughter
- a vest for my husband
- a hat for my granddaughter
- a guardian angel bag charm/keychain
- and whatever else comes to mind in between...
Is it even possible to answer a question like that? There are so many ideas…
For one thing, I’ve started some hiking socks, a bag made from granny squares, a scarf, various double-face potholders, and a shark-shaped potholder UFO… I’ve definitely planned a little bathrobe for my little grandson, a crocheted top for myself, more socks, small gifts like bookmarks and tissue pouches, nativity figures, baby shoes, and much, much more! At my current pace, though, I won’t get very far—but right now the currants and cherries are ripe and need to be frozen, so the needles have to take a break.
first of all, sorry I haven’t been posting much lately.
I’m on vacation and spending a lot of time with my kids in the garden.
I still plan to crochet:
bookmarks as invitations for my oldest child’s birthday
unicorn keychains as party favors for the same occasion
a soul warmer for myself
a unicorn for my older niece
two mermaid bags for my younger niece and my godchild
Halloween decorations
curtains for Christmas
Christmas gifts
I’m sure I’ll end up adding one or two more things.
I’m still diligently sticking to my yarn diet.
My husband gave me a great cabinet with glass doors.
I’ve now sorted my yarn stash and put it on display there.
That makes using it up even more fun.
It’s great to hear from you again. But don’t stress about it—everything here is voluntary and meant to be fun.
It’s awesome that you’re still sticking to your yarn diet. Hats off to you!
If I hadn’t been missing certain yarn, I’d still be at it too.
Soon I’ll take some photos of my (now restocked) stash again.... oh my, that’s quite a lot again.
I think it’s great of your husband to have given you a cabinet with glass doors. It almost feels like being in a yarn shop. If I had a room of my own, I’d probably spread out even more… sigh.
Right now it’s our living room, which is turning more and more into a design room. Yarn everywhere… sketches, sheets of paper with pattern text and projects in progress, and of course needles and supplies scattered all over the place. I’m so grateful for my patient husband, who even admires my creations. :-)
There really are soooo many projects that are supposed to get finished.
But for 2018, I’ve resolved to finally finish crocheting my UFO moose (a shelf sitter). All that’s really left is to crochet the arms and sew all the pieces together. It can’t be that hard.
But as is often the case, you see something beautiful and new, and just like that, the other project gets put on the back burner. I also have to be in the mood for it.
My triangular shawl also needs some more work so I can wear it in the fall.
Those are the first two projects I want to finish. We’re going on vacation again in July/August, so I might be able to make some progress then.
I still have a few UFOs lying around that want to be finished.
I’ve decided to keep working on them.
With my diet yarn, I’ll knit or crochet some tops.
I definitely still want to make one piece in Tunisian crochet.
A runner duck and a Santa Claus are also still on my wish list.
I’m excited to see which of them I’ll get finished.
