Dear users, dear authors,
you’ve been busy. :- )
It’s time for the award ceremony.

For that, I need a little information from you.
Please copy the section between the asterisks and fill it out. You can leave out any paragraphs that don’t apply.
Thank you.

The end of all May projects and the award ceremony is on June 4 / Monday.
If anyone is cutting it very close, please write it down. If necessary, it’ll just run until Tuesday.

**********************************************

The winners in May 2018
alphabetical order

Arni won :- )
She used up a whole lot of leftover yarn. The dress for the Schlagermove turned out great. The photo looks promising. A photo of it being worn would be great too. Together with the two rattle cars (for Anton, I assume ) and the bookmark lion, that’s easily enough for the title Leftover Best. Congratulations. :- )
I wish you lots of perseverance for the Inner-Slacker Tamer, but you can do it if you keep using up leftovers and neglected yarn so bravely. So congratulations on becoming Yarn Empress and also on the Neglected Yarn Rescuer title. And congratulations on reaching the final round of world domination.
And of course, heartfelt congratulations on being a Frog Monster Tamer too. Who likes old, tight, uncomfortable hats anyway? :- ) The dress is a great idea for leftovers, neglected yarn, and frogged-monster yarn.
It’s great to have you with us. :- )

ChristinaE is also a winner and has earned many titles, namely:
The well-deserved title UFO Queen for the sweater that had been lying around forever; that was also enough for the Frog Monster Tamer, plus Leftover Best and Wallflower Rescuer for pretty little things like dragons and tissue pouches. There are bonus points for author feedback. Thank you :- ) And she learned something new and won there too, because ChristinaE can now knit socks with Crasy-Trio as well. Extra praise because she used diet yarn for that and is therefore also a Yarn Empress. Wow :- ) There was also a seal and a sweater. Congratulations and lots of compliments. Keep at it in June. It’s going to be great.

Haekeltrulla has also won and is a winner.
She didn’t buy any yarn in May, or rather hasn’t bought any for months, so she is a
Yarn Empress and is also aiming for the Inner-Slacker Tamer. Keep at it, you
can do it. Great job. June will be wonderful. And congratulations on reaching the final round of world domination.

Mifas has also won and earned compliments. The title Wallflower Rescuer was awarded for the tunic crochet pattern that had been sitting there for a while. Of course, she also earned bonus points for reviewing. Thank you :- )
Congratulations on learning the basic stitch of the Tunisian crochet technique. There was also a knitted tunic and a crocheted bikini top. Wishing you a good recovery. I hope your pain eases in June so you can earn lots of titles again and, of course, have lots of fun crafting.

Mowi19 has won and has therefore earned several titles through entertaining crafting in the garden. The finished cushion cover and the baby pants promoted her to UFO Queen. Congratulations. :- )
She also became Leftover Best, very well deserved, because she finished a whole lot of leftover projects, from striped pants for the teddy, to joint-protector cushions for mouse hands, to headbands and summer baby shoes. Wow. It was worth it.
She is also a Yarn Emperor/Empress because she didn’t buy any yarn in May, or rather hasn’t bought any for six months. Congratulations. Have fun buying yarn. :- )
Mowi19 learned something new and therefore won here too; she now knits with CraSyTrio as well. Nine finished projects and one finished pattern are a great result.
As I could see from your details, June will also be filled with crafting for you, and that will surely result in quite a few titles and finished handmade projects. :- )
Compliments, keep at it. :- ) And congratulations on reaching the final round of world domination.

Nadeleule has also won and earned several titles. For the cardigan that had been lying around forever, was unraveled several times and reknitted, she gets not only the title UFO Queen, but also the title Frog Monster Tamer and bonus points for bravery and perseverance.
Congratulations also on being a Yarn Emperor/Empress. Great job.
I wish you a productive June.

Stjerne61 is a winner and finished a great vacation project. Her avatar has finally gotten a companion. It turned out great. :- ) Four finished handmade projects in May and three uploaded patterns are wonderful. Congratulations on that.

Wollefaden / Marion has also truly earned several titles and is therefore a winner. Here we go:
Congratulations on being UFO Queen for the finished loop scarf, congratulations on being Leftover Best for the impressive use of leftovers in May.
You, too, are bravely sticking with the yarn diet and aiming for the Inner-Slacker Tamer. Congratulations on that, and I wish you lots of perseverance. As a busy little helper, you’ll surely manage it. Congratulations on the finished crochet projects (1 little calf, 3 potholders, 4 roses, 1 vest and 1 loop scarf (UFO ) ) and the finished knitting project (  1 top with a lace pattern ).
It’s great that you used May to learn something new. You truly earned this winner’s title by learning the Entrelac pattern in Tunisian crochet.
I’m glad to hear that you had fun in the garden / with the garden projects. :- )
I’m sure you’ll have a productive June too. :- )
And congratulations on reaching the final round of world domination.

  • Because I was missing yarn (and was on a yarn diet in May), I couldn’t finish crocheting my oven mitts. So I’m taking them with me into June as a UFO. Yarn has already been ordered (soooooooo happy).
  • I’m as excited as a little kid about the yarn I’ve already ordered (in June, of course). It’s mainly winter yarn because it’s available so cheaply right now, and just a few missing skeins of cotton. Because I still have lots of that and want to keep using it up over the summer.
  • It was fun again and really motivating to join in here with Best of Leftovers and Co. I’ll be very happy to take part again in June.

Josefa, you’ve written this up wonderfully for everyone again. It’s always a joy to read your hymns of praise. :-)

I’d also like to mention that I’m not just the “Wool Empress” — everyone who’s stuck to the “Wool Diet” from December until now has won world domination. That just occurred to me as I was reading. ;-) That was actually the motivation to keep going for sooooo incredibly long.

Yes, I’d be very happy to join in again in June, and I’m already looking forward to all the beautiful projects I’ll get to admire from you all — including Sandra’s colorful dress with “content” ... grin.

Wishing you all a lovely evening and lots of joy in your crafting!

Best wishes from Monika

To everyone who wants to go on a “wool diet” for a whole year:

Wow—you guys are absolutely amazing!!!! You have my full admiration!

But honestly... if my yarn stash had been even bigger... the temptation would have been enormous. ;-)

Thanks, Josefa! It’s kind of a different feeling than “just” being a “Wool Empress,” because for that you only have to “diet” for one month. Half a year is a whole different ballgame… and I was really looking forward to the title.

Now I’ve achieved world domination over myself and my yarn addiction! Cool!
