A pretty shopping net is a lovely gift for Mom, not just on Mother’s Day!

This one is sturdy and offers plenty of space for all kinds of shopping. Its mesh structure also makes it very practical as a beach bag. The heart pattern and the “Mama” lettering are easy to crochet.

In fact, the filet pattern is especially suitable for beginners, since you only crochet double crochets and chain stitches. So the project works up quickly, and the bag is finished in no time.
Since there are only a few increases at the beginning, this project is also ideal to take with you, as you’ll quickly memorize the pattern.

I recommend cotton yarn with a yardage of 125m/50g, such as Catania.

You can download the pattern here!

If you’d like to learn Tunisian crochet (or already know how), this market bag is just right for you. This project is also wonderful to take along or crochet outdoors, because at first you only crochet a straight piece, which is then folded origami-style.
The floral border in the contrasting color is then crocheted conventionally again, as is the handle.
You can decide for yourself how big you want your bag to be.

So, feel like giving it a try?  Then download the pattern right here!

Bags—that’s my thing!
I love designing new bags...

Sigrid has the shape of a classic beach bag. It’s versatile and actually looks good in any color!
It’s crocheted with felting wool and then felted in the washing machine.

I named the next bag Cristel; with all the buttons, this handbag has a wonderful look without much effort.
It has plenty of room for the essentials for a relaxed evening.

The last bag here is also well suited for men... after all, it’s not always easy to crochet something for the men in our lives.
The Sören bag is also crocheted from felting wool and felted in the washing machine.
It’s big enough to fit a smaller laptop inside.
But this bag is great for us women too... if we ever want to hand it off, our sweetheart won’t be too embarrassed to carry it for a while.

Crochet pattern for a colorful bag (quick and easy)

Beautifully striped and colorful, this is a great bag.
-Perfect for a quick little shopping trip-

Maybe also nice for the little ones to play with. You can never have enough bags, right? This bag is crocheted in one piece and then sewn together. Then just add the handles and it’s finished. So it’s quick and, especially in the end, quite sturdy too.

This bag is crocheted “only” in single crochet stitches, so there are no complicated techniques. Definitely also well suited for beginners.

Material
  • ONline Linie 55 Montego (100 g/100 m yardage) color 35 52/23 and 46
  • Crochet hook 6.0 (or as desired)
  • Sewing needle/darning needle
  • Scissors
I have explained everything in detail in a step-by-step pattern with lots of pictures. My pattern also includes a “small crochet school.”

This beautiful shopping net is easy to crochet and quick to make. With its lettering, the net puts you in a good mood and also makes a great gift for good friends.

For the material, I used Catania by Schachenmayr; of course, you can also use any other cotton yarn—even great for using up leftovers. Crochet hooks 2.5 mm and 3.0 mm. The bag is 35 cm wide and 45 cm high (including handles).
Suitable for beginners.
