So many birthdays—what can I make fast? DIY patterns for quick and easy birthday gifts

Mod Edit: I’m just jumping in here for a sec: Advertising is now allowed here as well, to keep things fair for all vendors.
Please make sure to include a few tips without advertising, since this thread wasn’t created by me as an ad thread, but by CreativBennet as a request for birthday gift ideas. Thanks. And with that, I’ll hand the floor back to CreativBennet.

Believe it or not, a whopping 9 people have birthdays in July, and I need gifts for all of them. That’s going to put a strain on my budget. Now I need crochet and knitting ideas that can be made fairly quickly in large quantities. The two youngest—twins, by the way—are 10, and the oldest is 42. By the way, they’re all women.
Help!
Do you have any ideas?

Warm regards!

Hi Bennet,

or these balloon covers, for example as a ball. They knit up super fast using leftover yarn.

For children
little dolls, cuddly toys, teddy bears, and for girls a doll-bed bag.
For women
scarves, flower pins, wrist warmers, phone cases, pincushions.
Take a look in the gallery for small items.

Key chains or bag charms are a nice little gift and quick to make, too.
Sunny greetings
Sidney

How about a light, airy summer scarf? It’s quick to crochet and doesn’t require much yarn, so you can make several of them. If you use a double crochet pattern, you’ll work faster and be able to crochet something pretty for all 9 people.

I thought advertising links were only allowed in the job board?

Hello everyone,
Advertising in the forum is only allowed in the job exchange. This has already been pointed out many times. Please make sure to promote your links only in the threads I have specifically provided for that purpose. Since quite a lot of advertising links have accumulated here by now, I have moved the thread to the job exchange so that the other sellers can also advertise, to be fair. Please make sure that, in addition to advertising, you also write tips and factual information, since this is not an advertising thread from me, but a user’s request.
@CreativBennet:
I hope it’s okay with you that we use your thread for advertising, but if I delete all the advertising links now, there won’t be much left of the thread. I’ve also expanded the thread title a little bit.

So this is my first post here. I work a lot with leather and sew small and large bags by hand. I always forget to document the steps, though. Of course, every piece is completely one-of-a-kind.
Homemade jam has also always been a big hit as a small gift or token of appreciation.

Oops! I seem to have set something in motion here :D

@Moderator: Of course that’s okay :)

I’ve got my ideas together by now too! Thanks, everyone!

Oh, and what are you making?
I made a chest and a nice card for a neighbor—and filled the chest with treats.

That sounds interesting! I’ve got some leather lying around here too and am thinking about what I can do with it (I’ve always sewn kids’ slippers or used the leather as soles for crocheted booties, etc.).

Do you happen to have any pictures of your bags? I’d really love to see them.

Best regards
Jackie

Hi Jackie,
I tried uploading a few pictures. Unfortunately, it’s not working the way I thought it would.
You can see a few of my creations on my Facebook page, Karla Kral, in the album titled “My Creations.”
Best wishes, Caillech

If you want to upload pictures, please click on the image icon in the editor and then on “Upload.” Once you’ve selected the picture, be sure to click “Send to Server” and then the green OK button—otherwise, the pictures won’t upload. You have to click both buttons; this confuses a lot of users the first time around.

Whether as bag charms, keychains, or little gifts, the Wuschelinis are happy to come along anywhere.

You can find the crochet patterns here: https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/store/ErnstWuschel

I always give a bottle with a drink of their choice, with or without alcohol—you have free choice, after all,
and to make the gift more personal, one of my many bag charms goes on the bottle as a little gift, and you can also tuck some money into the charms
the little guys are equally popular with men and women,
whether as a keychain or to decorate a car mirror,
they’re quick to crochet and always a delight to look at, for example here’s the shark
