Hobbies: Crafts or More?

do you have any other hobbies besides crafts?
Let me know.

I like painting and reading. Since I’m still in school on top of my job, that doesn’t leave me much time for my hobbies. But I like needlework best, because I find it so relaxing and can always do a few stitches “on the side” now and then.

Not really, but every now and then I get the urge and break out my art supplies. 

Anime, manga, J-rock, and then there are games on various consoles, although unfortunately I’m still missing a Wii U, PS4, and Switch :(( and then, really bad: Build-A-Bear. We have over 300 stuffed animals from that alone at home, and there are over 1,000 animals of all sizes in my room alone ;).

In addition to crafts, I have the following hobbies, which I pursue to varying degrees:

learning Japanese, perspective drawing, reading, origami, and shorthand.

I’m a bookworm—luckily, we have a wonderful library. In the summer, weeding is a somewhat involuntary hobby. I also really enjoy going on hikes with my husband, usually in the mountains.

I grow edible plants on my windowsills and am constantly experimenting with them.
Reading isn’t so much a hobby for me as it is an addiction, which is why I’ve banned it for myself and only treat myself to audiobooks while I’m doing crafts.
I also draw, but only for my craft projects.
Does writing letters count as a hobby? Well, I love writing letters—real, long ones.
That’s all for now; unfortunately, I don’t have time for anything else.

I make sure we spend a lot of time outdoors. So we go skiing and ice skating a lot in the winter. Archery and trips out into the woods during the other seasons.
I also like playing Nintendo. And then, of course, there’s the garden and the orchard.
My main hobby is my kids. We do a lot together—right now we’re mostly focused on studying. But soon the last school assignments will be over, and then we’ll have plenty of time for outings again.

I used to paint and draw a lot, but at some point I started doing it less.
I read a lot—okay, not as much as I used to these days, because you can’t do crafts while reading (when I have to choose, the yarn always wins over the books).
I don’t like audiobooks.
Right now, though, I’m weeding out my book collection.
Concrete crafts in the summer and gardening are also among my favorite pastimes.

Nature. A few hours in the woods give me more energy than anything else. I love watching the birds and squirrels, and when I come across a frog or even a salamander while I’m out, I’m especially happy. And real strawberries and raspberries, of course!

Besides needlework, I have another great passion: paper. I scrapbook (photo album design) and make cards and boxes.

Besides crafts, there are plenty of other things I really enjoy doing that I count as my hobbies.
I love cooking —and, of course, eating .
When I really want to unwind, I absolutely love doing jigsaw puzzles , but they have to be at least 1,000 pieces—preferably the ones by Jan van Haasteren. I already have a really big collection .
Also, ever since I was a kid, I’ve found LEGO totally fascinating—whether it’s the bricks to build with or the computer games.
Last but not least, I love humor in all its forms, which is why I’m a big fan of comedy.
