What you need:

Approx. 400 g of any gradient cake (or 2 x 200 g) – 4-ply - 1000 m running length, recommended hook size 3.5 for the shawl vest size: 2.30 x 1.00 meters wingspan. Depending on whether you want to crochet just a shawl or the shawl vest, you will need between 200 and 400 g of yarn (hook size 3.5)

Crochet Pattern Triangle Shawl "Hearts & Butterflys"

Summer is coming, and the first butterflies are fluttering through the air—love is in the air everywhere, and hearts are flying toward one another. In this mood, the Hearts & Butterflys shoulder shawl is the perfect companion.

The playful patterns of hearts and butterflies, combined with the classic half grannies, give this shawl a romantic look.

The crochet shawl can be crocheted as large or small as you like, since the two patterns repeat. However, a yarn cake with at least 1200 m of yardage is recommended so that you can crochet each pattern at least once. Both patterns are provided in written form as well as in a crochet chart, so you can decide whether you want to work from the crochet chart or the text.

Difficulty level: advanced beginner/intermediate

What you need:

Approx. 250–350 g of any yarn cake – 4-ply – at least 1200 m yardage, recommended hook size 3.5
With 1200 m yardage, you can crochet the complete pattern set of hearts, grannies, and butterflies once, plus a few granny rows for the finish

With 1500 m yardage, you can crochet the complete pattern set of hearts, grannies, butterflies, another pattern set of hearts, as well as one row of butterflies and a few rows of grannies

From 1800 m yardage, you can crochet the pattern set at least 2 times in full

Size: 1.80 x 0.7 meters with 1500 m yardage (size varies depending on yardage)

Now that the movie “Jim Knopf” is in theaters, this is especially timely:

Every little train conductor would love to have a locomotive like this! It’s especially great for the very little ones, because it’s very sturdy and won’t mind if it gets tossed around every now and then. You can even put it in the washing machine, so it’s always clean and can be “explored” with the mouth without any worries.
The locomotive is made up of simple basic shapes, mostly crocheted using single crochet stitches. You’ll just need a little patience to sew the individual pieces together.
