I have two finished shawls that I really should finally weave in the ends on and block. For some reason, I keep putting it off. Aside from that, I’ve already been admiring the new yarn today—the one that cost me a fortune :-)
Oh, iglinz, I totally get where you’re coming from. I got the yarn yesterday—the one that cost me my world domination—and I carried it around with me the whole time yesterday.
Just to see how beautiful it looks in different kinds of light.
And then I thought about which patterns might go with the colors, tinkered around, and tried them out.
Otherwise, I’m busy making carrots, apples, pears, tangerines, strawberries, bananas—everything that absolutely has to go into a toy kitchen so that the doll mummy can put a decent snack on the table.
Ida *cackle* ... with absolutely no desire to take over the world, I can work on my projects here anytime :-)
My cat blanket is finished; this morning I quickly crocheted the two large pieces of my tunic together and weaved in the ends. Tonight I’ll start on the sleeves.
Today I took pictures of the bouquet I just put together, which I hope to upload tomorrow.
I also updated an older pattern.
After lunch, I’ll work on the new digital paper I need for my next gift wrapping project. And in the evening, while listening to an audiobook, I’ll work on the wrapping itself.
I’m currently working on a little burrowing critter :-))
It was actually supposed to be a mole, but it looks more like an undersized meerkat LOL. Well, I’m pretty flexible about it and just taking it as it comes. Let’s see what it turns into.
I only went out to the garden for a moment today, but then I just couldn’t stand the sight of the weeds that had popped up again. Before I knew it, an hour had gone by, and now it looks much better.
But now I’m going to sit out in the garden with my knitting and a cup of coffee and get right back to working on my sleeves.
Well, another day has gone by... and we have a new today... ;-)
Ida and Dagmar, I totally understand why you love the yarn that cost you world domination. I’m slowly starting to feel the urge to keep an eye out for yarn, too. But I’ll hold out for a few more weeks, and... it’s still fun to rummage through my own yarn stash to see what I could make next. The “diet” yarn is definitely enough for my summer projects.
Today I’m going to finish knitting my summer sweater. It turned out really great with the pattern mix. I’ll show it in the April “diet” thread.
My next “diet” project will be a pair of summer baby pants. I’m still tinkering with the design.
Ida and Dagmar: I can totally understand you too... I'm longing for it more and more as well. But just like Monika, I'm working on world domination, and it's fun to see something beautiful emerge from the stash
I've just canned some porridge, and now I'm taking a little break and crocheting a jacket for Anton.
My own supplies are dwindling, too. So far, I’ve made two carrots and a big red apple for the dollhouse kitchen—one you can really take a bite out of—and now I’m working on a pear.
It’s really fun. I’m curious to see if the new owner will place any follow-up orders.
And then I’ll finally have to get back to making the fantasy animals for my kids.
The bottom part of the lovey was finished yesterday, the ends are woven in, now only the rest of the little animal is missing.
Today I started a new roll for the Tunisian crochet hooks (not Tunisian!) and on the trip to Zurich this evening I’ll start on a galactic washcloth. I’ll be traveling quite a lot by train over the next few days, so I need practical projects to take along!
I finished my door wreath, and now I’m trying out some Tunisian crochet patterns again.
I’m also trying to create my own crochet charts right now—it’s not going so well yet, but practice makes perfect.
