Experiment with colors:

Tunisian crochet - very easy with a cushion, bag, case, and hiking sit pad

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

Tunisian crochet is easy. Just try it out with these patterns (see image gallery). Basic crochet skills are enough. The various simple Tunisian stitch patterns are described in detail and illustrated.

4-in-1 PDF pattern:

  • a cushion 33 cm x 33 cm, “filled” with 2 towels or stuffing, etc., or 40 cm x 40 cm or custom size
  • easily repurposed as a bag/pouch.
  • also a sit pad for hiking and
  • a glasses case for sunglasses
Depending on the color combination, the textured pattern always looks a little different. The measurements can be easily adjusted to any size you like.

We need:
100 g in the main color (here turquoise) and 50 g in the secondary color (here beige) of a yarn with 100 m per 50 g, for hook size 3.5 – 4.0 according to the yarn label, a matching Tunisian crochet hook or a knooking needle, measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends, pins;
Gauge according to the label of the yarn used here: 18.5 sts x 27 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
The amount of yarn is also enough for a 40 cm x 40 cm cushion. For larger cushions, please calculate correspondingly more yarn.

Included in the download :

  • PDF pattern for cushion/bag, sit pad, and glasses case, illustrated on 23 pages
  • PDF pattern: blog post “Converting gauge – here’s how”

When crocheting these 10 finger puppets for the puppet theater, you can let your creativity run wild, because you can vary the colors and hairstyles however you like. You’ll get the pattern for the 10 main characters of the puppet theater (Kasperl, Gretel, Seppel, Grandmother, Policeman, Robber, Witch, Crocodile, Princess, and King), which you can make using your leftover yarn. (I mainly used Catania by Schachenmayr.) Wouldn’t that be a great surprise for an Easter basket?
Then go ahead and get the pattern right away!

With this little door-guard bear, you can let your creativity run wild. It’s also extremely useful, because it guards all the doors in your home—the bathroom, the toilet, the kids’ room, and even the home office now and then. That makes keys unnecessary.

The cute little bear is quick and easy to crochet. All steps are described in detail, so even beginners can manage well. By the way, this is also a great way to use up leftover yarn.

Here’s the crochet pattern for the little door-guard bear.

If you’d rather have an owl as a door guard, of course there’s one of those too. It is just as easy to crochet. You’ll enjoy making it.

Here’s the crochet pattern for the door-guard owl.

Cute wrap bracelet—crocheted in a flash. A real eye-catcher on any wrist. A great Valentine’s Day gift.

The bracelet is also super cute when worn as an anklet. And if you simply lengthen it, it turns into a chic, delicate belt.

The bracelet is crocheted in one piece, so there’s no tedious weaving in of ends (just the beginning and ending threads). So grab some yarn
and a crochet hook and get started.

Materials: Anchor crochet yarn, Aida, 1.5 mm crochet hook, sewing needle
Required skills: chain stitch, slip stitch, double crochet, and triple crochet

Detailed description as a PDF file with text, pictures, and crochet chart.
