Starching

I have another technical question: How do you starch table runners and similar items? Do you have a recipe for that? I use fabric starch, but I’m not sure about the right amount to use.

Hi!

I spray the items I want to starch generously—really generously, so that everything is thoroughly moistened!—with spray starch, and then, if they’re items that need stretching, I let them dry overnight while stretched out.

That’s exactly how I do it too... simple and completely sufficient.

I’m on the same page. It’s easy to do and works perfectly well.

I’m a bit hesitant to try the sugar water method. Has anyone tried that yet?
